What's anyone's motivation for posting on internet forums & sites where they clearly don't have any interest in what the site is about or anything in common with the other people on the site?

There are plenty of people who currently are on or have been on this site that if you look at their posting history and what they post about, logically shouldn't have any reason to post on this forum. But it's the internet, so doing/saying things that in real life would get you rightfully looked at suspiciously often gets over looked if you don't catch all of the red flags.
