I agree with Cosmetic, in order for it to be successful they need more "frills" for women to come. Even if us women can handle having sex without strings attached we still need some chemistry to build up. Well Nevada is the place since it's the only state in the US where prostitution is legal, correct? And about the whole "undercover/ hidden" thing in the Islands... I think Jamaica has already such a reputation that I, for example, would not go there by myself or with girlfriends. I don't want anyone to think I went there for sex and I don't want to be approached my the men on the island selling themselves. I'd love to go to Jamaica but would only go with a boyfriend.
I went with my kids Dad a couple of years ago to visit family, is a lovely beautiful place, however, i too wouldnt go on my own with my kids and if so I would stay on the resort and not venture out.
In the Caribbean Islands including Jamaica the WW from Europe,Canada, and the States go to those brothers. Chigirl, bring your boyfriend or a brother who is a friend to Jamaica since some of the rasta men think a few German women go after them. Sad but true.
I think the media in the US would be "all over" a place like this. Either that or in total denial. 8) I agree these liasions would be 'fairer' if they weren't taking place in a third world country - less exploitive. Reading this film review reminded me of were two IMO rather delusional and insidious comments the women made in Heading South. One was the comment about seeing the Haitian men as being "closer to nature" than the black men back home. Quite a few laughs of disbelief in the theatre audience on that! The other was the comment made about Legra (sp) wearing the orange shirt the younger woman had bought him. Along the lines of "he looks like a New York black" said in such a derogatory, racist tone. It seemed to me these woman were less worried about the so-called societal taboo of being with a black male, as about choosing to being with a black male in a subordinate role. These woman had no desire for a real, committed, equal, adult relationship with a BM. Only the brunette wanted anything close to a real relationship with her man. Back to Rent A Rasta... 80,000 women? What does that say about male/female relationships 'back home'? :!:
Aren't you already spoiled for choice living in the UK :?: Speaking generally, I just don't like the whole thing of "doing it secret". I'd rather walk talk and proud with any brotha I'm dating.
 I don't know because I kind of felt sorry for them as well as for the poor Haitian studs because they were desperate for some kind of love & affection albeit in the wrong way according to this film.
Awia, what part of Oz are you from? I remember a scene from a movie in which Racheal Griffiths found one of the Black sailors at a club in Oz. In Queensland the women from Oz wait for brothers from the US Navy. I wished there is a flick on those types of relationships.
Nope, beats me, but then again, I'm not what you'd call 'forward' with women, most of the girls I've been out with have been the ones chasing. I'm into older women, so it's not easy..
I'm not from Queensland, but I'll be visiting there this weekend  and no, not to go meet Navy brothas.... 8) Do you remember the name of the movie? I really like Rachel Griffiths... The idea for a flick is a good one - I don't personally know any women who do this, but it would be very interesting! Hmmm... where's my video camera. :smt048
 Women can be sexy at any age but around the late 30's & definitely in the 40's is considered "older". But again the term is used very loosely. To an 18yr old 24 is "older" in the context of which we're using the word.
