Following the critically acclaimed global smash hit X-Men: Days of Future Past, director Bryan Singer returns with X-MEN: APOCALYPSE. Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshipped as a god.

Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign.

As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.

 

The Tarzan story is so not PC in today's world and is a white washed ripoff of Rudyard Kipling's The Jungle Book, but I can't lie, it's a compelling story.

But underneath it all is the conceit that a White English baby of noble birth can be born in an African jungle, alone, without shelter, food or parents and by adulthood be running shit.:smt079

I like the cast and the movie looks cool, but the more I think about the premise, the less inclined I am to pay to see it.

The new Jungle Movie is slated to come out I think next summer and it looks awesome too.

 

I always suspected the woman who became Dexter's final love interest in the HBO series and used herbal poisons to kill her victims was modeled indirectly after the Poison Ivy character.

 

Soooo, we're back to the boring, black costumes again? Boooo ...

 

God this is the golden age of nerds. Seriously can't wait

The nostalgia about arguing about pokemon & digimon back in grade school. :smt042

 

I hardly had that during my days. Then again, many of my circle were big on Pokemon, but never really met any Digimon fans and if they did, they mention it only in passing or conversations remained cordial.

 

I've had those arguments, always sided with digimon cause I didn't like nintendo much as a kid and I had played the digimon games on my PS1.

 

Damn.
