Some of these contestants on these reality dating shows have boyfriends. If the contestants makes enough of an impression on screen, but is not chosen, they might get their own show. It has happened before.

Of course they have to keep a certain image as long as that tired old concept of a show is still on air.

You mean a bachelorette to have a fling with a brother, or the brother is The Bachelor, right? That show's producers were being sued by three black male contestants who were dismissed early. I recall The Bachelor In Paradise a couple of years ago. They had one black man who was getting busy with all the pretty white women he had a chance to date. He was sent home. I thought he was going to stay to the end. Reality shows. Smh.

Another Bachelor female contestant had a black boyfriend and a child by him. I think they are married now. This show doesn't seem to like interracial relationships with black men, but you can't stop the REAL reality that it's going to happen whether they like it or not.

I think the producers were grappling with taking a chance at showing a black man choosing a non-black female. Advertisement dollars and ratings are at stake. This is a new century the last time I checked. The Bachelor and The Bachelorette are not in any way , shape or form, a family show.

This just underlines how fake these 'reality' shows are.

It is, indeed, all a fantasy for adults 20-35. That's the target audience. I hate that term target audience.
