He reached in his pocket, wtf outcome did you expect? Also the dude shot himself before the cops arrived. Unfortunately this is justified.

Why not shoot the guy's hand or arm? He was moving slowly enough. Cops just open fire....

    Get that shit outta' here.

A white dude in louisiana (that wasn't in a wheelchair)pointed a gun at several cops and told them fuck you when they orderd him to drop it.

    He's still alive.

There are ways to not shoot a guy in a wheelchair.

Remember Clivan Bundy and his boyfriends pointed assault rifles at federal agents.

    They're still alive.

    QFT.

These shootings boil down in most cases to the race of the victim and the race of the cop.

How fucking hard is it to move out of the shooting range of a guy in a wheelchair??

You couldn't walk up behind him and just try to calm the situation down???

It's sickening how little value cops put on a human life.

They told him to put the weapon down. How can he possibly do that without reaching for it?

Worst case scenario, if you're a cop run over and kick the wheelchair over on its side. The suspect is now totally incapacitated.

If you're dealing with a man in a wheelchair holding a gun and your best option is to kill him, how the hell did you ever pass one written test to become a police officer???

Who knew that spooky, supernatural Black man thing was true for paraplegics too??

You watch entirely too much tv lol
That's those cops choice they want to gamble their lives away.

Another person watching too much tv. You have no clue what the guys mental state of condition is and you want to sneak up behind him on some splinter cell video game shit.

Your reasonably experienced with firearms. Say this was you in the wheel chair, you see multiple officers converging on you aggressively and they don't look friendly the least bit. Would you immediately drop your weapon and put your hands up? If not why not?

The officers demand you to drop your weapon multiple times but you ignore there demands, what outcome are you expecting?

Last, let's say a officer did give you a chance to drop the weapon after ignoring his demands repeatedly but you had other wise intentions, how many seconds would it take you to reach for your firearm and shoot one of the officers? What's the likely hood of a officer returning fire without injury if you did shoot?

Bruh put the controller down, this isn't call of duty lol

Best case they could of cordoned off the area and negotiated with him a swat team

Uh no. I barely watch TV but when I do its DIY TV, HGTV or the Food Network. Not much use for guns on any of those channels. The guy had already shot himself. He couldn't have been as much of a threat as in normal circumstances. Cops are too trigger happy these days especially when it involves black men. And TDK had a point: How could he drop a weapon he wasn't even holding?! He had to reach for it to comply with their orders!!

The story says he was told to drop the weapon and then he went for something in his waist. So apparently he didn't have the weapon his hand to aim at anyone otherwise a move to go for his waist would not be threatening since the gun would already be in one hand why on earth is he going for his waist?
If he had a weapon that was visible and possibly in his waist how else could he put it down on the ground without going for it?

If your incapable to drop the weapon, keep your hands up until the cops remove it. Very simple. All because a person is wounded, now they aren't a threat. Hilarious. This looks like a suicide by cop. I bet you it was his family member that called the cops.

This is considered a local crime since its 15 mins south of south Philly.., so we got better details very quickly...CNN link ommittef crucial details...for example..

The guy was (not only) suicidal, trying twice to shoot himself.
He also shot THREE TIMES in the air, according to his neighbor witness.

I don't know what some of you would do, but tackling a seated suicidal man with a loaded gun he was firing approx five times and refusing to put it down, but he was an imminent danger to others citizens, and cops. Likely 'suicide by cop' here.

    http://www.nbcphiladelphia.com/news...ice-Shooting-Man-in-Wheelchair-329166411.html

"Authorities said officers were called to the area of Tulip and South Scott streets about 3 p.m. Wednesday about a man with a possible self-inflicted gunshot wound...

A woman who identified herself as the gunman's cousin told the newspaper he was shot by police when he refused to put down his gun.

    And:
..."He pulled out his gun. He was trying to shoot himself up there," witness Sean Owens said Thursday. "I think he may have shot himself once or twice, but he shot the other shots in the air."

There is still a formal investigation as required by law, and the cops have been put on leave, but l do remember watching the local news interviewing his neighbor shortly after it happened, and he said "he fired his gun 3 times up in the air"..
and anyone knows those bullets come down.
His death is a very sad outcome, nonetheless. IMO, l don't think he truly wanted to hurt anyone but himself.
