TS could be a lady and respond even if it's only to decline. Smh. It took guts for him to reach ou to her.
She should not respond, unless it's to accept. It is well-known she is in a committed relationship, and it's disrespectful to her and her boyfriend to ask her out. In normal circumstances, her boyfriend would respond if one was needed... But that would only create a PR nightmare. If Taylor declines, it would then open the door for sensitive types to complain and speculate about why she's turning him down. Even if she responds no, he will of course respond back...and so it will continue...
I didn't know she was in a relationship. Is that well known? And I still see nothing wrong with declining because she's in a relationship. Not responding makes her look like a snob. If he continues to pursue her after she declines, then she can ignore him and for good reason.
Taylor Swift is dating. I guess the football player didn't know that. And it would be awkward for her and him.
It is indeed a well known 'relationship. He's a world famous DJ in his own right. If she declines him, she gets called a snob and probably more, so she can't win. If she responded, every Tom, Dick, or Harry (no pun)will ask her out and expect a response, even if it's to say they got turned down by TS. She's doing the right thing and not disrespecting her man, most importantly.
I guess we agree to disagree. Declining because she's already in a relationship is not being a snob, imo. It's being honest and is the best and easiest way to decline. It's nothing personal about him or anyone else who would try. Any further shout outs by him or others would just make them look dumb because she already made her position known.
Seriously? We're not talking about two local teens from high school. She is world famous and he's a RB at his college. Everything she says and does is dissected, manipulated, and makes news. This guy is seeking attention, and she can't feed that. He damn well knows she's in a relationship, because the couple were just in the news when her boyfriend told Harry Styles to stay away from them. She gets thousands of tweets from guys wanting her. If you can't see this is an attention-seeking publicity stunt from the running back then I don't know what to tell you. Dude is not pining for Taylor Swift to respond to him. :???:
As soon as those military guys started using Youtube to ask celebrities to their dance, I knew it wouldn't stop there. Yep, Taylor Swift is in a relationship with Calvin Harris. It's pretty well known. I do think Taylor is doing the right thing by not responding, because once she responds to this guy, she'll have to respond to everyone. It's a no-win situation for a celebrity. This making-videos-to-ask-out-celebrities craze needs to stop. It's this whole "social media has made me an attention whore" mentality that is only being perpetuated by stories like these. If the media stops reporting on it, they will stop.
But this kinda stuff will only get worse. These are the times now. Anyone with a computer and a Facebook can ask a celebrity out and get views. Every chick with a camera phone and a twittergram account is a "model". Every dude with a 8 second vine video is getting paid to show up to clubs n' shit.
I don't particularly care for Taylor Swift, but regardless of whether a person is famous or not, you shouldn't bother people that are already in relationships.
If she gets thousands of tweets from men asking for a date, what makes this one so special as to make headlines? I'm sure he's not the first athlete nor the first black guy to do so.
Lol I think it's cute. Plus it's worked before which only encourages the behavior! I don't follow celebrities, nor do I really watch tv or read gossip magazines so I'm not familiar with if/who this girl is dating but I do think it's rude for her to ignore the request. I'm sure she's got people who work for her who could respectfully decline, on her behalf.
Yup. And once a decline is made publicly due to the fact that she's in a relationship, then other requests can be ignored if desired, imo.
