We often hear about police brutality but we never actually hear from the victims of it. This is an excellent video on how much effort it takes to get bad cops out of the department and why it is so necessary for us to have video on the police.

It is 28 minutes long so to sum it up(well worth the watch)... it took him two years to clear up the wrong doing.

The police said he signed a refusal for care. He never signed anything. They said he was going after their gun. He never did. They said he got beat up before the police got there. The police beat him up. They said he didn't pull over. he did pull over. One police car rammed his car while still parked. The prosecutor said she couldn't get the second tape even though the defense lawyer and any one in the public could get it and the defense lawyer did get it. The prosecutor basically lied in court!!!!

This is why people say police instead of bad police. This is why people think the police are working with the prosecutor to screw people over. This is why the police have a defunct respect.

We do have GOOD people but there are many that are not.

As I said before, Evil Triumphs when good men do nothing. Good People have to continue to fight corruption every where because at the end of the day Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere

The system is just so corrupt on so many different levels, it almost feels like it's unfixable. Almost.

Archangel, you listed 6 lies told by the cops and prosecutor that are standard operating procedure for most police departments around the country to cover up for bad behavior.
And the public doesn't question the police, EVER, unless there's video evidence.

The lies are IMO built into the system of law enforcement because they don't have any checks on their behavior or accountability from their superiors.

If body cams become standard equipment for most cops, it would go a long way towards putting a third set of eyes on most police stops.

Police are given an unprecedented level of autonomy and responsibility in our society, the only profession that comes close is the medical field.

We really need to add about 2-4 years to the training most cops receive before they hit the streets.

When it seems like we're deputizing guys off the street with anger management issues to become police officers, the product we see speaks for itself.

Body cams ain't go' do shit and you know it.

Better training won't do anything either, but make them better killers and liars.

You don't hear Palestinans crying for better trained Israelis.

    What WILL work is this:

Make it LAW that ALL settlement money rewarded to victims of police crime come from their pension/retirement funds.

That'll stop their shit dead in it's tracks.

Body cams WILL help if there's a way to be certain they're not tampered with and if they're always turned in for review. But those are big if's.
