So true.
However, there is a real constant in that people are so quick to grab a gun or use violence to act out their frustrations. Providing of course, that it is not mental illness driving them.

 

Well, these murders just got uglier...

I would rather face a man with a knife rather than a man with a gun.

 

Homes was one crazy dude. He killed those folks while filming on his cell phone.

This reminds me of the Incident that occurred on a Spanish speaking news show. A man, who was divorced from his wife, steps up to her in the cemetery where one of their children was buried. He had lost custody of the children and was ordered to stay away from the wife. In front of the camer, the man shot and killed his wife. He shot her a number of times. The field reporter and camera operator ran into their vehicle and sped away. The footage was big news at the time. And the shooter was found guilty by reason of insanity. WTF! Rest In Peace to the victims and may God bless and keep their families and friends. May their murderer be apprehended soon.

I guess adrenaline takes over when you get shot.
If you had a chance to see the cell phone video he posted on his twitter feed, this killer shot the female reporter several times but she was still able to run off before dying.

You don't see it happen like that in the movies, when people get shot they fall and die where they're hit.

Awful.

 

I remember that! It was live on Telemundo. Horrifying.

 

I never saw his version. All the major news outlets are censoring the stations version. It's crazy how this played out live on Social Media. He was live tweeting right up to point of suicide.

 

I saw it. Absolutely heartbreaking You could see her getting hit and still running...no one should have to go out with that kind of fear. Very sad indeed.

 

In his social media manifesto, the guy said he felt discriminated against as a black homosexual at the news station. ....he said he was inspired by the culumbine and Virginia Tech mass killers....and he said the recent black church shooting pushed him over the top to perpetrate this race revenge killing against these two innocent journalist ....Vester Flanagan submitted to the will of the devil and did nothing to help race relations in his country today. ......

 

Well, he did make several unsubstantiated claims of racial discrimination in several of his jobs and no evidence was ever found.

 

VFIII,did not give a rat's butt to no one but,himself. Killing and then offing himself. He never learned nobody paid heed to manafestos via fax. As for his cellphone footage of the killing we would never see it only the law persons,FBI etc.

 

It was on YT for a minute and you can find copies of it you search enough.

It was like first person shooter perspective in a video game. You see the gun and the powder flash from the muzzle, including the look of abject fear on the face of his victims.

The man was sick and probably needed to be in therapy and on meds years ago.

 

He was sick indeed and we never knew the extent of that sickness.

 

The father of one of the victims has been advocating for gun control in every interview that he's done so far.

Why is it inappropriate to discuss the fact that the US is swimming with guns after mass shootings?

This is literally the only political issue that is supposed to be off topic when its discussion is most relevant. Do you hear anybody telling people not to talk about Islamic extremism, national security and military interventionism after terrorist attacks?
