Good for them. Being a ranger is no joke.

Unfortunately they still cant serve on the front lines, until the ban on women in combat is lifted.

You gotta wonder what type of men (if that's who they choose) these women end up with.
I can't see any of these women being happy with some broker or a guy who does real estate. I know thats not what this about but it does cross my mind.
    Oh yea arbitrary congrats

Yeah, it's weird that even after some restrictions were lifted, women still have some barriers keeping them from actually serving as full fledged Army Rangers.

    Negative Nelly, table for one.

Cheer up buttercup, I hate to see you all pessimistic! The world can either be a beautiful place or a shitty one, all depends on your choice of views. Choose wisely, this is the only life you get!

*don't neg rep me for this, I know my positivity makes you wanna vomit but sometimes you need to hear it * :freehug:

I think this is a good thing and I admire them but I never understood the public congratulations to people who will never see it. I can understand wow this makes me proud to be an American or something along those lines. Get it?

Typical assanine comment from you. Yet in the IVY League thread, you wouldn't shut up admiring the students.
("So fricking impressive. Fuck what haters say")
Yet, no surprise when it's women's time to shine, you're rolling your eyes and whining like a little b.

So they are not allowed to serve?? Why? They just proved they can run with the big dogs. I don't understand...:smt017

It's because regulations for the military are very slow to change. The Obama administration has recently created a policy that demands the military open up the frontlines to women, or else they have to have a compelling argument why not.

However, there are also many people in the military who fear that allowing women into front line combat will have a negative effect.

Dude seriously you are not happy unless you're on my ass about something. This is borderline obsession, I'm flattered but I'm just not into you boo

And as for the Ivy League I don't think I actually congratulated them, I think its cool what they did just like said here about these women.
