Such misplaced statements. I take no issue with fictional characters. I take issue with an institution that relies heavily on fear and sweet nothings to get people riled up over, what should be "non-issues."

And also, you ARE responding to this group and it's definitely not out of curiosity. So, what could it be? The thread most certainly riled you up, thus, anger.

 

Well, Allah is the same god of Abraham. Let's throw in a few polytheists as well. How about Vishnu? Osiris? Chango? Quetzacoatl?

You are correct on all of that but the posters are not mostly international. They are mostly Americans. Americans mostly deal with Christianity. It is hard to make fun of religions that are not known of directly. It is a knowledge issue and not so much the hate of Christianity. If the most popular religion was Islam in the USA, This thread would overwhelmingly be about making fun of Islam.


Though I will admit sometimes MS annoys me with his messages about Christianity. I'm not even that religious. This keeps it contained and allows me to not have to see it all over the place. You have people who are really religious in here and there would be constant fights.

I think it may have been before your time when we had these fights and people were really pissed. This was a good solution to it where those who want to bash it come here to do it and those who don't avoid it. Which is what I did for a long time.:smt042 meaning I am not offended about say catholic jokes but there are so many catholic jokes one could take

I just find it interesting that for someone who claims to be an atheist but only attacks Christianity, is suspect. I think it proves he's not an atheist - he is Antichrist. Even his various names on this website are alternate names for Lucifer. An atheist should not believe in Satan, so why worship him?

I find it stranger that you're taking a strong offense in this thread, especially when I've specifically mentioned that the humor will definitely rile up some people, so you've entered at your own curiosity (again).

And there is nothing strange about an atheist talking about religion since, well, I'm surrounded by a lot of people who are raised in that. That part is fine and dandy. The big issue, which I've pointed out time and time again, but you're willingness to ignore that is the issue I take is when religious institutions want to inject their beliefs in the public square. We're not simply talking social issues, but even in education, which stymies any sense of intellectual growth.

Your lack of tact is amusing, so it's no wonder you like to rile yourself up by inviting yourself into this thread, knowing full well that you know what you're in for. It's very humorous, but for you? You just...a character.

Once again, another intellectually dishonest and woefully ignorant post. So, by your logic, if I had names like Zeus, Odin, or Shiva, I'm actually wanting to be these said individuals or secretly polytheistic? That's a stupid conclusion to draw from it. Like anyone who chooses a username, we pick them either because we like the names out of creativity or just simply want something that represents us. In this case, I like creativity and the Morning Star reference, yes it's based on Lucifer (not to be confused with Satan [more on that another time]), but he is just another character in the Christian Mythology, much like many of the fables (all loosely or derived from other beliefs) in there. The worship statement is just a silly conclusion out of sheer confirmation bias and lack of tact.

 

And your understanding of superheroes, comic books, and much of everything is woefully inconsistent and wrong. After that diarrhea debate you couldn't hold a candle on, I do question as why should I even bother arguing with you in the first place?

So, why not follow your own example and not post here?
