Anyone watching? I didn't think this season started out as good as last, but last couple weeks there's been something about it ... I dunno. What do u think
I think the show hit it's stride over the last 4 episodes. I'm really looking forward to the season finale.
Missed last night's episode. Will hopefully watch it tonight. My girl and I really loved the first season. But, she has totally checked out on this one. Just lost all interest in it all together . I'm still watching it, though. To me, it's been slowly getting better after a roughy start. As a matter of fact,Netherlands last couple of episodes were good. But, not great. For me, the surprise of the summer TV pack has been Mr. Robot. Even the weak episode was still good.
It started slowly but it's a roller coaster now. IMO it's better than last season. Russian gangsters, corrupt local politicians, corrupt cops, high end prostitution ring and Vince Vaughn out for revenge when he was trying to get out of the casino/crime business. The death at the end of the 8/3 episode was heart wrenching. People out here trying to make any kind of life for themselves they can and something fucks it up beyond their control.
I thought the chemistry between the man (Ray?) and the Ventura cop in the last episode ... when they sat at the table and drank and didn't speak and tried to process what all happened ... hot.
I've watched it and it was pretty good. I never forget the scene in one of the characters went on the Ho Bus to find that missing person there.
It's better than it started for season 2. But, not even close to the master class of TV fiction that was Season 1.
Not going to read the rest of this thread until i catch the season finale. NO SPOILERS! LMAO P.S.: *stares at screen in shocked silence*
Season 2 was very ordinary. Sure, it was worth watching, but it was a significant step down from season 1. For the viewer, it was like being used to going to a five star restaurant to dine on some of the best steak available. So good you tell all of your friends about it because it was just that memorable. But, when you return to that same restaurant a few months later you are served a hamburger in place of your beloved, well prepared and cooked to perfection steak. Sure, the burger is good. But, you had your heart set on that steak. It was special. It was a treat. See, you have a fully loaded life to live. Your time is important to you but you still managed to carve out an hour from your schedule, per week, for this meal, because it was so uncommonly well made. Oh, that burger? Well, you finish eating it because you're hungry. And while it is tasty, nothing stands out about it because in this day and age, you know you can get a good burger almost anywhere. And as you finish the last bite of your steak"s stand in, a thought crosses your mind; maybe the next time this five star restaurant promotes this same steak again, you'll take a pass. Maybe you'll just drive over to your favorite diner instead. After all, they have good burgers, too.
They killed off too many of the best characters on the show. The ending sort of reminded me how the Dexter series ended.
I have not seen the Dexter ending but, after reading the synophis it sucked. I wanted Dexter to live on after season after season saving the tax payer's money bumping off the baddest of the bad.
It was a struggle to watch at times, and I had to keep reminding myself to not compare it to season 1. Season 1 was incredible. I found myself having to rewind season 2 to try to understand what the fuck was going on. Glad I stuck it out. Let's hope season 3 is better
Co-sign, not thrilled with season 2. Looking forward to season 3, its one of the few shows I have time to watch.
Actually, the better show this spring/summer season was American Crime. Surprisingly enough, it was on ABC. Even though it was on a broadcast network, it premium cable quality. It's only 8 episodes, I think Or, maybe ten. Check it out if you get a chance. It may be on Hulu or Amazon. You won't be disappointed.
