    The president should quote the line from Rising Sun, but say this;
    "Wrong guy. Wrong fucking century."

Not surprising. There's always some ignorant fucking coon who's looking for attention that people can use for their own purposes.

Yes,there are a very few Blacks who act like a Uncle Ruckus. I saw one photo on a FB site of a brother even had a flag tat on his arm. Plus you have not seen a joker like him hanging with the hate groups. Must be a brother who flies that flag for money.

A black Mississippi man who was known for his outspoken support of the Confederate Flag died Sunday following a car crash that was the result of an apparent car chase.

According to the Jackson Clarion-Ledger, 49-year-old Anthony Hervey died Sunday from injuries sustained in a roll-over crash of the SUV he was driving. Hervey’s passenger, Arlene Barnum, has told police that their vehicle was being pursued at the time of the crash, which took place after a rally in Birmingham, Alabama in support of the Confederate Flag.

Hervey was a well-known personality in Oxford, the author of a 2006 book titled, Why I Wave the Confederate Flag, Written by a Black Man: The End of Ni**erism and the Welfare State. He would often dress in a Confederate soldier’s uniform and wave the “stars and bars” flag in Oxford’s town square, holding forth to onlookers about his views.

According to the book’s Amazon page:

"What makes this book dangerous is its raw honesty. Mr. Hervey lifts the veil of Black decadence at the same time he exposes the lies and political correctness of modern day America. Mr. Hervey said “I show that the Civil War was not fought over slavery and that the demise of my race in America is not of the White man, but rather of our own making. In this book I show how Blacks in America ran away from physical bondage to one far worse– mental bondage.”

Barnum reportedly gave Hervey a ride to Birmingham for a pro-Confederate Flag rally and at around 11:20 on Sunday morning, the two were returning to Mississippi with Hervey at the wheel.

Barnum — the owner of the SUV — said that before the crash, Hervey told her that a silver car was pursuing them and traveling at a high rate of speed to catch up. Hervey sped up to get away, then lost control of the black Ford Explorer, which veered off the road and flipped.

“HELP…They after us,” Barnum posted to Facebook from the accident scene. “My vehicle inside down.”

Moments later, she wrote, “Anthony Hervy pinned in, gas leaking.”

The McAlester News-Capital said that Barnum was taken from the scene by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries.

Barnum told the newspaper that she and Hervey were not close, but that they are both black conservatives who are pro-Confederate Flag.

“I didn’t know him, really,” she said. “I gave him a ride to the rally.”

She later posted a photo of the overturned vehicle taken at the scene.

Officials said that they cannot confirm the details of what led up to the crash, but that the investigation is ongoing.

Sorry but it's hard to accept his passenger's retelling of events as the actual truth.

It would be very convenient to blame 'jeering Blacks' chasing them for the reason he ran off the road.

I'm sure living in Mississippi driving with a WW in the front seat next to him is enough to make interested parties follow him down the highway.

Look, I don't condone violence or threats of violence and, as much as I think that this guy was a repugnant fool, he didn't deserve what happened to him.

However, on the topic of slavery not being the cause of the Civil War.

These are existing declarations of the succession:

    http://www.civilwar.org/education/history/primarysources/declarationofcauses.html

They all explicitly mention the preservation of the institution of slavery as a reason for their split from the Union.

Here's a link to the famous cornerstone speech:

    http://legacy.fordham.edu/halsall/mod/1861stephens.asp

In the speech, Alexander Stephens, the vice president of the Confederacy, cited the institutions of slavery and white supremacy as the sole reasons for the existence of the Confederate state that they attempted to establish.

If you don't like to read, here's a Youtube video of a guy reading the relevant parts of the aforementioned documents.

I honestly don't know how any of the people who engage in this farcical exercise of revisionist history can dispute the reasons given by the very people who started the fucking war.

People like Anthony Hervey are so filled to the brim with self-hatred and delusion that I honestly believe that they suffer from some form of mental illness.

Because it was. Just as a greenhorn myself many years ago, taking an AA History course in college, I was taught it WAS over slavery. People I have read have tried to, as Frederick pointed out, revise history, "that it was over money, no slavery", but really, the two are not mutually exclusive, right? Just not hearing a viable argument from pro-confeds that it wasn't about Slavery.

Earlier this evening, I was watching the local news reporting about the pro-flag KKK rally in SC on Saturday, and what struck me was what they didn't report...
    - that to the 300 protesters there, about 400 Black Panthers arrived to protest them as well. Both applied for permits that overlapped each other for an hour, but the two groups clashed for much longer.

There is in the link, the back story of the clash, as well as photos. Not sure why the U.S Press omitted the fact that a show of force from the BPP was present. By doing so, it presents a delusion that there is no push-back to the insanity of racism, when clearly there was...

However, amidst all the drama, one searing moment emerged that many across America have seen....

    The viral image...
Compassion: As hatred and racial intolerance engulfed the rally, a poignant picture of police chief Leroy Smith, the director of the South Carolina Department of Public Safety helping a man wearing a Swastika T-shirt emerged on Twitter

It goes to show...you know..... Bless that cop's heart.

    ....

One more thing struck me.... the innocent children of two polar worlds.

What in God's name are we doing.... these kids are the victims of hate indoctrination, and hate..it's just too sad to fathom.
I hope to God they reject the madness as the next generation.

The urge to disrespect and hate by xenophobic individuals like that is far greater than any urges of love and brotherhood they may claim for their own. Guaranteed if this same person had been physically assaulted by a black person rather than suffering from the heat those fools' priority would be to strike back at any and all black people just because rather than seeking medical attention for the person that had been attacked.

You act as if this is some new shit for America. Have your kids if you choose to and live your life. Teach your kids not to be paranoid & hateful xenophobes. Focus on that human commonality rather than perceived differences. We're all human and all want the same basic things for ourselves and love ones when it's all said and done.
