The other day, my daughter and I were watering the plants around the house. She was in front of me and when we got to the front of the house I heard her say, "Jesus Christ".

I said, "What did you say???" By this time I had walked past her and turned to face her and she said, "jeez, it's bright".

That's funny, Bookie. I find myself doing those types of things a lot lately, sometimes I do hear my daughter correctly and she just has no idea what she said or the magnitude of what she may have said and sometimes I'm just hearing things.

Well today is the big day... my oldest son is leaving for army boot camp.

I never thought this day would get here for as long as we have been going back-and-forth and now it's here and strangely I have so many mixed feelings I'm really going to miss him

Mom wrote him a four-page letter I'm going to sneak it in his bag before he leaves

Felt like such an ass half way through my lecture when I realized she had ZERO clue what I was talking about because Id totally misheard her lol. Couldn't help but laugh at myself after apologizing to her. Good lord my ears try to deceive me sometimes

On another front, my girlfriend did the unthinkable; she cut her freakin' hair. All of her long, chestnut, wavy, kinda-curly, luscious locks are gone. She went from fashionably sexy to a curly mommy cut in an afternoon. Gawd, I am pissed.

But, I would never say anything about it to her because I would never want her to feel anything less than beautiful in my eyes. Which, she still is. She just looks like she should be driving a minivan. Ugh, why do women do that? Having long hair isn't that hard to take care off. And it's sooooooo sexy. Now, I got nothing to wrap around my wrist and hand for when the riding gets rough. This could really be considered a safety issue. Does she realize how many times me latching on to her hair kept her from being launched into space?

On the bright side, I'm about to grow thee most epic beard in all of niggadom and she bet not complain. Not a peep. Yeah, it's on now. I'mma' grow a beard. She hates beards.

 

Lol that's the funny thing about a lot of women, they expect you to like everything that they do with no disapproval or its viewed as being unsupportive, but they have no qualms expressing their dissatisfactions openly.

I feel your pain on your lady cutting off her locks. My wife did the same thing about a year after she gave birth to our twins, but she cut hers off because the kids kept yanking and pulling the shit out of her hair. Even after they were old enough to no longer be pulling her hair, she still never grew her hair back out. Still short and bobbed :smt089

Your post also reminded me of the King of Queens episode when Doug convinces Carrie to cut her hair off to make money, and she gets this horrible short cut, and he spends all his time privately bitching about it when she wasn't around. Hilarious episode.

You ain't lying. My girl is of Russian and Hungarian decent and apparently those are some hairy people because the girl can shave last night and the hair is fighting to come back by mid afternoon. Can not stand hairy legs but like you said I would never want her to feel anything less than beautiful. But let a dude go a week without a shape up shiiiiittt. I'll be "reminded" it's time to see my dude Talib. I have the same issue with chip manicures. For the love of God ladies that shit is so unsightly and lazy not to just get the nail polish remover and fix that shit. I have to give her money bi weekly to keep up on that shit, I know its my issue so I'm more than willing to pay, and we're better for it.
