I know it may be hard to believe, but not everyone is preoccupied with hating us to the extent that they're "hating our guts".
At the least, we're definitely looked at as competition. A lot more than other races/ethnic groups of men. There are volumes of books that could be written on the schizophrenic nature of American racism.
Not just America racism. People fresh off the boat or across the border act like we stole something from them.
Black men in general. Even people biased against black men don't stay up all night dreaming of ways to get back at us. That's too "Jakub the Big-Headed Scientist" for me. Racial animosity is baked into the system of class oppression, so people don't have to be fixated on hating black people. I agree with this 100%. Other poor people of color are often trapped in the same poverty as much of the black community is and feel they are in competition with us for jobs and resources. I just don't believe that anti-black animus is the entire reason for being for the system. It's a tool of control of the poor and non-whites, but there's nothing essential about it that demands that every non-white is focused on hating black people.
