There was a Sherlock Holmes story called The Red Headed League. But that story dealt with en. There was a female basketball team called The Redheads who performs basketball tricks like the Harlem Globetrotters. I remember seeing them at my high school. They had just beaten the male staff(principal, vice principal and others). I spoke with a couple of them and mentioned that I had first seen them on the NBC show called Real People(Byron Allen was on that show). I asked if they borrowed their skills from the Harlem Globetrotters. They explained that they had been around long before the Harlem Globetrotters. I was surprised, but then I realized that the Harlem Globetrotters came out in the 1950's . The Redheads had been around since the 1940's when female athletes were an oddity and entertainment.
