I saw a show on national geographic and i believe it was called "brain games". In this episode they blinded some volunteers and took some free throws. Some were cheered by the crowd despite if they made it or not. Others were jeered. 1st they took shits before they were blindfolded and then they did it while they were blindfolded. Then they took a 3rd round of shots not blind folded. For the most part the people who were cheered during the blindfold increased the numbers of shots made after they took the 3rd of shots while the ones who were jeered decreased in made shots. So what does this say about positive and negative reinforcement?
Yeah If i remember correctly they said that their confidence went up. They did have a college bball player who took part. Her results didnt change because she learned to block out the jeers. To me this info could be used in say to day living.
Um I'm sure it did....but that wasn't what I was responding to. It went right past you. (Here's a hint - you typed shits instead of shots)
