About as much difference as you analogizing that her lying is no different than the Santa Clause lie.

Funny you bring up her role in the community. Several have asked, what exactly has she done...still waiting on that list.

But let's see...you say l bring up her personal life only...not true.

I brought up her multiple hate crime complaints.
I brought up how she tried to sabotage 2 people's careers because she thought they didn't look ethnic enough or had no business speaking on black issues because they were not black (like her).
I brought up how she plagiarized a black male artist's work and passed it off as her own.
I brought up how she was paid to do seminars on the history of black woman's hair and her own struggle with it.
I brought up her anti-white discrimination lawsuit against Howard University.
I brought up how she wanted to boycott a movie because she felt offended and disturbed that black characters were being played by white actors.

Funny how you take others here to task, but not her.

Now, let's see the list of accomplishments and changes for the BC that you believe she made?

Outside of the movie thing I totally agree here.
I agree with her putting Exodus on blast

He can't take her task because he and Boba have riding for her so hard they know they'll look silly now.
She's a fraud who made a,mockery of her position

I hope the irony is not lost on you. No one disagrees with the common objection of whites playing Black characters, it's the fact that she is doing the same thing she finds disturbing and offensive. That's what people are scratching their head at.

Anyone notice that we have careened from racial crisis to racial crisis almost non-stop for the last calendar year?

LMAO! I'm no alarmist, but does it seem like things are reaching a fever pitch / boiling point? Or are we just the victims of the 24-hour news cycle?

    Obama just said this

“Racism, we are not cured of it. And it’s not just a matter of it not being polite to say nigger in public. That’s not the measure of whether racism still exists or not. It’s not just a matter of overt discrimination. Societies don’t, overnight, completely erase everything that happened 200 to 300 years prior.”

Yes he did. It made the headlines all today, too.
    So everyone got his message.

That and I think Social Media fuels it, immensely, as well. But unrest has always existed, at least in the last 60 years.

    Yes, it's about time.

On a side note, I got a rude awakening yesterday on social media.

Several years ago, when Yahoo Groups existed, I joined a forum for the TV show "Lost". Well, we all became good e-friends and friended each other on Facebook.

Fast forward to yesterday, one of the ladies (I'd put her at late 50s) from that group, who lives (and I believe was born) in Texas had this to say:

I'm throwing in my two cents on the Confederate flag controversy. First off the flag the news stations & others keeping showing on TV & posting online is not the flag of the Confederacy. What they are showing is the Naval Jack or the Battle Flag. Second, do y'all know these flags were put in place by Democrats? Following the War of Northern Aggression Democrats ruled the South. Third, let the citizens of the states determine what flag they want. It's their decision. You don't like it don't visit.

When I got to the "War of Northern Aggression" part, I was like whaaaaaat? It's 2015 people! Who the hell is still calling the Civil War that?

I did not realize the South was really THAT bad. Wow.

I don't remember reading anything about her trying to sabotage 2 careers.

If she was paid to do seminars on black women hair that would be a benefit she got from the deception. I don't think she would pretend to be black for that, but at least there is some sort of answer to the question of did she benefit from the deception.

Don't like liars but there seems to be a lot going on with her that warrants a suspension of judgment. I try to leave my personal bias against liars out of it.

Some of the things you listed are not related to her pretending to be black. It's not like a black person can't plagiarize the work of another black person. She doesn't seem to be functioning in a healthy or normal state of mind or from bad intent which is one of the reasons I didn't see a reason to go hard on her.

Anyway that's irrelevant when you see it as fair game to roast individuals that you think may be mentally ill.

Besides it's a stupid argument anyway.

In the South prior to the 1960s, the Democrats were the conservative, pro-segregation party and the Republican party was the party of Civil Rights and integration.

After the Civil Rights Act and Voting Rights Act were passed, there was a polar shift in both parties and all the racists down South joined the Republican party.

The South Carolina legislators chose that flag, not some mind-controlling Democratic party.

Whenever I hear someone who doesn't know that the Democratic and Republican parties prior to 1960 are not the same parties today ideologically, I think they're being deliberately misleading or they listen to too much conservative radio.

It must suck to find out your friend has bigoted tendencies.

I love how racists and neocons keep flogging the "Democrats were the party of segregation" dead horse, conveniently omitting that all of them migrated to the Republican Party following LBJ's civil rights legislation.

Good point. I guess social media just gives individuals with these ideas more places to "rally in the public square", making them seem more present than they really are.

That's why we shouldn't use the term Republican or Democrat anymore just progressives and conservatives its far more accurate

On board 100%. Helms and Thurmond were both Democrats at one time, and the late Robert Byrd was both a Dem and a KKK member (though he later apologized).

How is it that you have time to shoot the shit about your new job, but you don't have time to address a situation that at least 3 of us emailed you about?? Nor have you contacted any of us. One of the members admitted publicly to harassing another member outside of this forum (as well as here) and you do nothing?? You allow him to continue to be a member in good standing despite his foul behavior. That's irresponsible and cowardly.

    Hello

Hope u having a good summer

This is a free website, no membership fee is required. I believe Webs has a full time job and this is a side gig, so the guy is busy like everyone else trying to earn a living for his family. He is usually good in cleaning up the mess here and reprimand folks when there is a need, so if he did not reply to your email it means he was busy tryin to win a bread, so cut the man some slack.

No can do, Z. Four women wrote emails over a week ago about a member who was harassing one of those women offline, and it involved her job. He's aware of the situation which, if he has time to be here chatting with TDK over the last week, he has time to address.

If someone here is harassing offline, it should be dealt with offline (via police if warranted). If police reports are filed and information is requested by authorities Im sure webbie would respond timely. I don't know that he really owes us anything more?? It's a free site...how far do his obligations reach?
