It's really sad that it doesn't. But Nintendo, as much as I love them, they have bombed terribly this E3 and it turned out to be fairly lackluster. Regardless, they have delivered on some bits that were noteworthy like Xenoblade Chronicles X and the Zelda handheld game, which...may not entice every Zelda crowd. Regardless, I will look forward to their Direct conference.
Marvel Cinematic Universe Spider-Man Has Been Cast Info taken from Digital Spy.com & Screen Rant.com. The search for a new webslinger is finally over - 19-year-old British actor Tom Holland has been cast as Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Holland, star of The Impossible and Wolf Hall, is expected to make his superhero debut in Captain America: Civil War before leading Marvel and Sony Pictures' Spider-Man reboot. The latter will debut in cinemas on July 28, 2017 with Cop Car director Jon Watts on board to direct. Holland and Watts's untitled film will be produced by Marvel's Kevin Feige and former Sony chief Amy Pascal. Tom Rothman, chairman of Sony Pictures, said of the studio's new look Spider-Man: "It's a big day here at Sony. Kevin, Amy and their teams have done an incredible job. The Marvel process is very thorough, and that's why their results are so outstanding. I'm confident Spider-Man will be no exception. "I've worked with a number of up-and-coming directors who have gone on to be superstars and believe that Jon is just such an outstanding talent. For Spidey himself, we saw many terrific young actors, but Tom's screen tests were special. All in all, we are off to a roaring start." Feige added of Watts's appointment as director: "As with James Gunn, Joss Whedon, and the Russo brothers, we love finding new and exciting voices to bring these characters to life. We spent a lot of time with Jon and find his take and work inspiring." Pascal heaped praise on the new Peter Parker, describing Holland as a "vibrant, talented young actor capable of embodying one of the most well-known characters in the world". "With Tom, we've found the perfect actor to bring Spider-Man's story into the Marvel Cinematic Universe," she said. Holland recently displayed his acrobatic Spider-Man skills in a series of videos through his Instagram account. Given that prior reports had claimed Asa Butterfield was a lock for the part, it’s unclear whether the actor bowed out (due to contract negotiations) or was outright cut by Marvel and Sony – either because both studios preferred other candidates, or one side of the partnership was strongly against Butterfield.
Did anyone catch Mr. Robot on USA last night? Nice series premier. This could be a great series. Scyfy Channel needs shows of this quality.
I wasn't sure from the ads whether he was a cyborg or a hacker. I like Defiance and loved Helix (now canceled). I'm giving Dark Matter and Killjoys a chance to prove themselves. I think Battlestar Galactica's reboot set the bar for sci-fi television.
Hacker. But, it's kind of cool how they tell the story. At least in this first episode. I have to get caught up on Defiance. I haven't watched it since the end of the first season. The BSG reboot was nice. Although, I still haven't finished watching it. I'm waaaaay behind on that one, too. ...lol
I know weeaboos are going to eat this shit up. And on top of that...replacing the Super Saiyan "God" form with something else entirely? Super Saiyan ?Final? Geez...I think the writer is looking for a way to get some money back up from the Dragon Ball haitus. I know the games were keeping him afloat, but seems like he probably saw the Goku vs. Superman Death Battle and gotten pissed off.
That's what happens with all famous anime/ Manga. They get too much popularity and start losing originality. Kind of a shame considering DB/DBZ is considered one of the most influential anime/ mangas of all time. Shit, I miss watching it on Toonami while I was in college
Other than watching my son keep up with it for a few months, I never paid much attention to Dragonball Z. Is it worth checking out?
To be frank, originality is limited to the artistic direction and characters. But, the tropes are very much similar...so in essence, if you've seen Dragon Ball Z, you've already seen how a lot of action oriented Japanese cartoons and comics play out with the usual types of one-dimensional characters and stories that are generally too pretentious for their own good. There are some exceptions, but anime is too overrated. But, I have grown up watching Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball GT. In the case of this series, it had a great run, both in Japan and the west...but all of a sudden, they revived the series with movies now? The series should have ended with GT and not the events that came before it. If you're into action sequences and fights that take up more than five episodes, it's entertaining. But if you want the full understanding, start with Dragon Ball, where it's more based on Journey to the West and from there, becomes this action-heavy "superhero" show with a protagonist that can only defeat new opponents by simply getting stronger. I can fill you in on the details a bit later.
Maybe...of you could look at a site where they have all the cartoon episodes. Believe me...it's long long long.
And speaking of which...ever been curious as to who would win between Darth Vader and Doctor Doom? Well, next week, that fight will come about.
