Not just guns, bro. Ordinance. If someone wanted to purchase a Browning .50 caliber heavy machinegun, and they have the funds, they will buy it.

I have to spread rep around but as usual, you are on point.

Oh, Republicans already have. Instead of saying that it's about race they want to point the finger at drug addiction, mental illness, and everything else that this killing is obviously not about. It's gotten so bad for the GOP and their ignorance of reality that even Pitchfork Ben Carson had to call them out for it:

He was never going to be the Republican nominee anyway so why not go ahead and call your party out over their obvious bullshit while you still have a mic in front of you?

"The Confederate States may acquire new territory; and Congress shall have power to legislate and provide governments for the inhabitants of all territory belonging to the Confederate States, lying without the limits of the several Sates [sic]; and may permit them, at such times, and in such manner as it may by law provide, to form States to be admitted into the Confederacy. In all such territory the institution of negro slavery, as it now exists in the Confederate States, shall be recognized and protected be Congress and by the Territorial government; and the inhabitants of the several Confederate States and Territories shall have the right to take to such Territory any slaves lawfully held by them in any of the States or Territories of the Confederate States."

Make no mistake, this clause, added to the Confederate constitution, which is very similar to the US constitution in most other respects, was the MAIN reason for the civil war and what that POS flag represents to any thinking person regardless of skin color. This is the best argument to any idiot espousing the "the civil war was not about slavery and the CS flag is more about heritage than hate" nonsense. Just hit them with the facts below...

http://www.jjmccullough.com/CSA.htm

"Overall, the CSA constitution does not radically alter the federal system that was set up under the United States constitution. It is thus very debatable as to whether the CSA was a significantly more pro-"states' rights" country (as supporters claim) in any meaningful sense. At least three states rights are explicitly taken away- the freedom of states to grant voting rights to non-citizens, the freedom of states to outlaw slavery within their borders, and the freedom of states to trade freely with each other.

As previously noted, the CSA constitution does not modify many of the most controversial (from a states' rights perspective) clauses of the American constitution, including the "Supremacy" clause (6-1-3), the "Commerce" clause (1-8-3) and the "Necessary and Proper" clause (1-8-18). Nor does the CSA take away the federal government's right to suspend habeus corpus or "suppress insurrections."
As far as slave-owning rights go, however, the document is much more effective. Indeed, CSA constitution seems to barely stop short of making owning slaves mandatory. Four different clauses entrench the legality of slavery in a number of different ways, and together they virtually guarantee that any sort of future anti-slave law or policy will be unconstitutional. People can claim the Civil War was "not about slavery" until the cows come home, but the fact remains that anyone who fought for the Confederacy was fighting for a country in which a universal right to own slaves was one of the most entrenched laws of the land."

Not to mention that most people DON'T even understand what confederate flag is the right flag. Below is the official flag of the confederacy, called the stars and bars...

Below is battle flag of the army of Northern Virginia, which never historically represented the CSA as a country nor officially recognized as one of the national flags.

People are incredibly stupid in general, but especially when it comes to history.

Speaking of hypocrisy, have you ever noticed that some of the folks who love confederate flag memorabilia are the first ones to tell Black people to get over slavery, Jim Crow and the Civil Rights Movement? :smt048

^^^^^^^ Very true!, Since ^^^^^^^^^^^^

What do you make of Kanye?

He sells Confderdate clothing souvenirs at his concerts, too.

I read a while back that he defended it by saying he's 'taking it (its power) back, like the n-word"...

He's a talented musician but holy shit I wish he'd sit his ass down and shut up sometimes. Kanye loves Kanye more than Kim and Kanye's mom combined.

Either way, you'd never catch me wearing a confederate flag themed-anything.

Kanye walks around in skirts and Uggs. Any ridiculous thing to make him look trendy. And of course, his fans are gonna eat it up, calling dude a genius or some shit.

Kanye is an idiot just like the rest of the idiots who support that ignorant shit.

All of this confederate flag talk reminds me of dealing with vendors who sold that kind of merchandise back when I was running convenience stores. I refused to sell that stuff in my stores, but they were always hounding me to change my mind. They'd ramble on and on about what great sellers that stuff was, but I didn't give a damn how much money we'd make selling it...I was NOT selling that garbage in my stores!

Completely agree with y'all's Kanye comments.

Then you compare it to Nas's feelings on it..

"To send these redneck biggots to some death in a bag/
Choke him out with his confederate flag/
I know these devils are mad"
