There are two sides (at least) to every story but it seems like no matter what he did, she was bound to become violent anyway.

 

If she were a black woman, the cops would have thrown her to the ground and kneed her in the back for just being in the area lol.

And if she had been wearing anything as threatening as a soccer uniform, she would have been shot. You know, she could have been concealing a weapon that he "saw" her make a move for.

 

Dude should have known better than to call her a cunt. Don't know how he was raised as far as respecting women and elders, but he should have known not to go there.

She acted irrationally of course, but if the kid was wiser he would have refrained from using such language. Most guys don't have to worry about women getting violent with them, but we don't call them cunts either.

She insulted him first so his insult was in direct response to her insulting him. Then he walks away from her and she follows him, which means that she started both the verbal and the physical altercations. She was in the wrong twice.

Men having respect for women is a great thing but it is also a two-way street. Women should respect men as much as men respect women. Hope Solo isn't a toddler who can't control her actions and emotions., she's an adult who needs to act like one

Those are good points regarding her punching her husband. That doesn't explain why she beat up her sister and nephew though, lol. As for the husband, I don't think he was that worried. I think he refused to press charges. He was probably like "come get my wife before I have to get with her". He's an ex-NFL player after all. She may be a hard case, but I'm sure she didn't want to be on the receiving end of his ham-sized fists.
