Holy shit. Two Mississippi police officers were shot dead after they were ambushed and left wounded following a routine traffic stop on Saturday night in the town of Hattiesburg. Officers Benjamin Deen, 34, and Liquori Tate, 25, were shot and their police cruiser was taken before they were discovered by a passerby. Tamika Mills heard one of the officers say, 'Am I dying? I know I'm dying. Just hand me my walkie-talkie..." The suspects were identified as Curtis Banks and Marvin Banks and warrants were issued for their arrests... Sad sad sad. I would have post the link when it happened last night but can't do that type of shit with this phone. The stolen patrol car was found at our rail yard. The guys in the yard were put on lockdown in the round house (work office in the yard).
Wow, Stizz...that's right, that's your neck of the woods. Can't believe how close to home it was for you. It's eerie and doubly sad when the reality of it all happens in real local time. :smt087
Really? Why not? Justice will be served they'll either get the death penalty or a life sentence so why isn't it over?
You have THREE police Officers murdered during routine stops, in the past WEEK alone. These men and women put their life on the line every day dealing with the unknown dregs in society, and to protect us...you think cops and America don't want to know how 2 thugs managed to ambush 2 cops? And steal their squad car on top? What's going on?
Bliss tdk understands from the mayor to the police chief, attorney's office,, and every cop in that city coming so hard down on them it's not going to be pretty, if they live long enough to make it to trial they will be convicted and fried quicker than Timothy mcveigh was
Don't forget these men and women also annoy or destroy and mess up people's stuff in the name of searching for drugs. I state this having experienced it during my drive in Mississippi. More often than not, they do this to people and use the bs excuse to pull people over. I don't want to hear this crap because this is not my experience with the police in Mississippi. Also, you volunteer. It isn't a draft. Stop trying to place nobility into a job. It isn't that hard to ambush the cops in Mississippi. It is very rural. You can easily buy body armor like the police and guns. The police have to be in the public. You do not. Chances are they did what the police do. Came in with guns and controled the scene to where the cops lost.
I don't thinks it's over for society. Cops are going to be "too" cautious now. And I probably would be the same way. Cops and military look at one another as family. "Street life" (thugs, gangsters, addicts, criminals, ect) murdered family, if you fit a certain description, you better make all movement with caution.
I do that shit regardless fam. They're killing us for little to no reason we don't have to do anything for it to happen. And when white people decide to kill cops it doesn't warrant nationwide caution for everyone or everyone who looks like the perps. I also reject the bs notion that they protect all of us because they most certainly don't check out the racist tweets, fb posts, and text messages that have been popping up. It's crystal clear how they see us and its not to protect us. When killings happen now the new reference point is going to be these few incidents that have happened that warrant cops to be in total fear of black people and now have the right to shoot first and ask questions later. Then it will be on the "black community" to reign in those that make cops and white America feel uncomfortable otherwise we're bringing it on ourselves. The writing is on the wall
I feel what you're saying. Initially, that's what a cop is suppose to do (protect). People can post racist tweets, fb post, and text messages all day. That's where that "freedom of choice" shit comes into play. I know first hand "some" cops ain't shit but I still respect their job and duties as if they were my own.
"l had been praying it was all just a mistake...my baby" - Ronald Tate, father or Liquori Liquori Tate had not been on the force even a full year when his life was cut tragically short. The 25-year-old had graduated from the police academy in June 2014, reports the Clarion-Ledger, when he gushed on Facebook: 'I graduated the Police Academy today. I am now a Police Officer. I would like to thank God, the Police Academy, the Police Department, my family, friends, and love ones,' he wrote. Tate grew up in a tough part of Starkville, 150 miles north of Hattiesburg, and decided to become a police officer so he could make a difference in the black community, said Jarvis Thompson, who knew him from childhood in church. He wanted to become an officer because we've seen so much of our peers get killed or end up in jail,' said Thompson, 24, of Starkville. 'He was talking all the time about how he wanted to do better and make the place better.' Tate's father Ronald Tate posted to Facebook just after learning he'd lost a son.* 'WELL LORD, I HAD BEEN PRAYING THAT IT WAS ALL JUST A MISTAKE...MY BABY...I JUST NEED SOME KIND OF MERCY RIGHT NOW...' he wrote.* Condolences and expressions of support poured into Ronald Tate's Facebook feed from around the country. With his siblings... Officer Deen was Officer of the year in 2012
R.I.P. I just hope it doesn't come out that these senseless killings were any way shape or form, a response to the recent civilian deaths by law enforcement. we don't need a war with police, that isn't gonna solve anything.
So, this week. another cop was shot in the head and killed... and HIS cruiser stolen. Sergeant Greg Moore questioned Jonathan Renfro who was in a dark alley....and was murdered in cold blood. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3075074/Funeral-held-Idaho-officer-fatally-shot-patrol.html 'He didn't view those who violated the law as enemies to be vanquished. He was always fair and never held a grudge. 'After 16 years, he resisted the urge to be jaded.. He felt there was no one beyond saving..." - Detective Johann Schmitz on Moore That's four murdered...in a week. :smt009
And how many have illegally detained, planted evidence, basically ruined the lives of people and/or killed citizens. I don't like the idea of any innocent people being killed, but when you start a war we all know the casualities know no innocence or guilt. This is the result of cause and effect and I don't see this ending well for anyone.
Mr. Deflector "..but when you start a war'? What war is that? And who started this apparent war you speak of?
The police started the war on the citizens of this country. Just do a google search on the mountain of illegal held people, people who have had contraband planted on them, and the recent brash of innocent people being murdered by the police not to mention those who stay silent or worst help cover it up. How many were expected to die and be messed with until the resentment hit a boiling point. It's sad and unfortunate that innocent people get swept up in the bs but there needs to be a real effort for citizens and cops to get along again. There is a large segment of the population (not just black people) who are in absolute terror of law enforcement. It no longer feels like protect and serve its more like comply or die. And the biggest hypocrisy of it all is that the smaller government, less government, partisan right wingers have absolutely nothing to say in terms of the right of the people. Its sad but the writing is on the wall and its clear where we're headed.
