Saw this in a comment.. Lukhard5, Richmond, United States, about 11 minutes ago I sometimes miss the 80's & 90's when I was a teenager & we didn't have cell phones. We interacted & talked w/out distractions. We waited by the phone for a boy to call. I tell my kids we had anticipation. Something they dont. We also had the ever important little folded up note. No texting. The all important folded note...ahhhh, the days. No GPS to find our way. And we met up w/friends just fine.
We could tell someone "I'll meet you at the bowling alley at 3." Then everybody just be at the bowling alley at 3. No need to text the play by play of your commute, "leaving my house now", "just got on 142nd strt., eta 4min", "in parking lot", "I'm here where R U". Also I used to OWN on this at the bowling alley arcade with Ultimate Warrior and Big Boss Man.
Remember when tv cops and detectives all carried revolvers more so than automatics? James Bond, Starsky from Starsky & Hutchand Mike Hammer used automatics. Military and action adventure shows was where an automatic was seen. It wasn't'until the film's Lethal Weapon, The Hidden and Die Hard when automatics became the norm.
Crockett used a Brent Ten automatic (10mm)and a Smith&Wesson 9mm. Tubbs used a Smitith & Wesson .38 Special and a compact pump12 gauge shotgun.
LOL. In Police Academy 2, actress Colleen Camp explained her preference for the .357 magnum. "For penetration, the .357 can crack the engine block of a truck."
Oh, nice specs. Speaking of Tubbs, saw this today of him.... It's crazy how fast father time really flies.
