People wanted a fight what they got was a boxing match. Manny's only shot at winning was turning it into a fight he failed simple as that Mayweather used his reach kept moving when manny got too close tied him up. He was technical and controlled didn't have to knock Manny out and he knew it. He made manny fight his fight he did not fight Manny's. Simple as that. All those saying manny won must have been drunk or something.
From what I've read, l think what people are saying is that if Floyd is a better boxer BOXER than Ali and Sugar Ray - as he claims he is...why all the 'running around'? And that pound for pound, Manny hits harder than Floyd. That's what opponents have said. You're right though... Fans wanted to see a boxing fight.
Lol @ all the youtube Mayweather haters. A few hours after the fight I poured myself a drink, kicked back and fired up youtube. Went to the first Mayweather/Pacquiao vid, paused the vid, then scrolled down to the comments. Just for amusement I read through a few pages of the haters wailing and shrieking about the outcome of the fight. -Got a kick out of the poster's at their mental gymnastics, baffling pretzel logic, and comical amounts of reaching to claim Pacquaio the victor. -Was thoroughly entertained by the howls of the fight being "rigged". And that Mayweather didn't "fight". As if he was supposed to stand there and take blows to the face like an idiot. -Giggled as youtube racists became unhinged flailing in desperation to find ways to argue that Mayweather is not a great boxer. I kind of regret I didn't watch the fight in a sports bar full of Mayweather haters. After Mayweather was announced the victor it would have been worth it to watch the Mayweather hater's shoulders slouch, their shouts turn to silence. To watch the light in their eyes slowly fade. Ahhhhhh. Nothing like the tears of a hater. Did you know that hater tears contain vitamin c and omega 3 fatty acids. They also taste delicious like lemon tea with a hint of butterscotch. :drinkers::drinkers: If he breaks Marciano's record i'm definitely hitting the comments section again. The levels of "butthurt" will be off the charts. :smt043
Glad I didn't watch the fight. I never really cared to watch the lightweights go at it because I rather see the guys try to knock each other out rather than simply score points. I'm not gonna pay to see running and dodging so I stick to the middle and heavyweight bouts.
Pac blames a hurt shoulder... More on the circus that night...... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...tion-400m-pay-view-spectacle-gears-Vegas.html * l will say that seeing all the primming stars there, it goes to show you how starved the world is for the glory days of Boxing...this wasn't even a heavyweight bout and the thirst was on full display. ALSO.. ..peep the stacks of private Jets of the Rich and Famous that clogged the runway and shut down the airport .:smt107 http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...e-jets-parked-wing-wing-McCarren-Airport.html
yeah....people wanted to see a brawl...this is boxing. im not a real boxing fan so im just there. in any case i was entertained.
People need to stop watching rocky movies When you have two top tier fighters like that, you're not really going to get a crazy brawl unless one really outclasses the other Two fighters with the same fighting style (boxing) and skill level are just going to cancel each other out...that's the beauty of mma You can have a guy with really good boxing put on a clinic against someone who's strength lies in the ground game or whatever
good points, Petty ^^^ Uh oh...the score cards were erroneously marked... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/bo...ao-marked-wrong-corners-judges-scorecard.html Rematch?
Yeah... Also, remember when a Tyson fight gave you butterflies in your gut when the bell rang? .. I think, HW Boxing at least, died out for me after Lennox Lewis bowed out.
