I'll give her her dues. She took that uppercut like a champ but when a man can toss you off the bus like a bag of potatoes in his old age that lets you know how powerful a man is in comparison to a woman in general.

I agree, just the first time I saw that vid I thought he took her head off with that ol' school uppercut, full body weight in slo mo.

For a female to take a hit like that and not be knocked unconscious from it tells me she's been hit in her face by a man before.:(

    Yes, that's it. TY.

Yes, we have had a rash of them assaulting people on the train platforms here in the past 2 weeks.

What a story, AB. For real, glad nothing went down.
Yours reminded me of the time I was on a bus sitting in the back (I love the back) and these young barely teen boys were cussing and flinging the n-word real loud, just making a ruckus.

So this old man from the front gets up, walks up to these boys and tells them to "shut up!, sit down! and if he hears them cuss again, he was gonna whoop them!" Hahhaaa, I swear they all shut up (in shock, I think), except for one kid, who after the man sat back down, was mumbling out of earshot how he was gonna kill that old man. :smt036

Not every town banned firearms in saloons. James Butler Hickock(a.ka. Wild Bill Hickock) carried his guns all the time. He was even a sheriff until he accidently shot a civilian and the man died. Hickock was killed while he was playing cards. His hand was two aces and two eights. Aces and 8s'; also known as the Dead Man's Hand.

In Tombstone Arizona, Virgil Earp insisted that every man coming into town turn their firearms over to the bartender or the sheriff's or marshal's office for the duration of their visit in Tombstone. Wyatt Earp put his gun away after killing Curly Bill Brocius.

William H. Bonney(a.k.a. Billy the Kid) killed a man in a bar simply by unloading the man's gun(it was featured in the film Young Guns).

I think history is a wonderful subject. But how one uses history, is something altogether different in these times. It is like someone wants an excuse to use their guns.

    Yeah, true.

Cops make always make me nervous but I don't freak seeing their sidearm hung on their waist.

But the one time in Northern Virginia I saw a random dude in the grocery with his pistol holstered on his side, I felt my heart in my chest because I wasn't expecting to see that.

Were the gun laws in the 1980s and 1990s really that bad??
Are permits and registering handguns really a bad thing?? Good for cars, bad for guns??lol

I'm not really in favor of banning handguns because some folks only have them as a home protection and realistically amending the Constitution requires 38 states to ratify and that's never, ever going to happen.

The best you can hope for is better control over the access to firearms and more training people how to properly use them.

I had once read a little factoid years ago about the ownership of a handgun. And one of those rules was that, unless you are a law enforcement officer, an armed citizen cannot carry a gun into a bar.

At the college I went to, those students who live in the dorms have handguns, rifles and shotguns in their possession. The campus had a shooting range located on the SW side of campus. But, here is the catch; the guns are locked away in a closet and only the custodian has the key to the closet.

In my high school, kids drove onto campus with a gun rack in their trucks. It was common to see a kid who drove a pick up truck to have a 30-06 or a 12 guage shotgun(and sometimes both in those trucks. They just didn't bring them to class.
