Well yeah....I'd think people would be more hesitant when committing crimes if there were a gun under every jacket, lol

Suddenly snatching a purse or starting a fight doesn't seem that sexy

Yeah. But knowing doesn't stop people. I just saw stills from an ISIS video that showed them cutting off a thief's right hand. Brutal.

That's an ancient practice......more proof that those guys are medieval as fuck

Can't argue with the results tho...hard to steal when your right hand is a stump

Wrongful convictions must be a bitch to deal with on the other hand (pun intended)

It's crazy though the different gun laws.....you better know them.

Two days ago, a Philadelphia woman ended her two year nightmare fight for her freedom.
NJ Gov. Christie pardoned her from a potential 12 year jail sentence for carrying an UNloaded gun in her trunk across the bridge, she had a permit and she declared it...

Yes. For booze. In and out. Very strange ghetto, barring the waterfront. Like a dilapidated Beirut ghostown. It's as far as we go in.

I think everyone can relate to her story...she thought she was doing everything right. *shudders*
I guess Christie did it to make it up to the Philly peeps.

At least in the WW they collected everyone's guns when they went into a saloon or sometimes even a town.

They knew from experience that if most of the adult male population is walking around with a sidearm, no one is really safe.

I'm pretty sure you can carry a gun in chicago and detroit as concealed.
poj can tell us about Philly.

    Guns aren't outlawed here

    I have a few

they're very easy to get in pennsy.....the paperwork/background check only took a few minutes (they only check your criminal record/involuntary psych commit) and after that u leave with ur gun

No waiting periods or nonsense like that and they don't really screen you for mental illness

You could be batshit as a mothafucka and purchase a gun

Well obviously you can.- l own a gun myself. I wasn't being literal @ outlawed juust as Gorath wasn't @the wild wild west -hence my response. Clearly every state allows gun ownership. Some cities however, have strict gun.laws..yet guns are all over their place? Well now.

    True

However I think it's best that a permit is required for concealed carry. Open carry or get qualified to carry concealed is how it should be.

If they are capable of learning or know what they are doing; a class about safety, handling, and aiming should be simple and worth their time if they want the permit.

Yeah, you could do that. But that thief wouldn't make it more than a few miles at most on horseback before he was tracked down and most likely hung or shot by the cowboys he robbed.

No getaway cars or interstate highways in the Old West.:smt023

I have a question, if every nation in the world had a 50 missile nuclear arsenal, would you believe that makes the world a safer place??

Having strangers being able to SEE your firearm is a better deterrent for crime than having it concealed, I would think.

But it might also make a potential thief believe it's more prudent to shoot a potential carjack victim, for instance, than see if he or she will give up their vehicle with a gun muzzle in their face.
