Last Saturday, someone broke into my apartment(well, one of our roommates left the door unlocked) and stole their wallets, phones and a laptop. Two days ago, someone broke through my screen in my window and stole my PS4. Last night, someone knocks on my window. I go outside and some dude hand some hands me my PS4 with a note on it saying "April fools. I hope you arnt(yes, arnt) too mad." Turns out he and his friends were hella drunk and they dared him to take it. I wasn't even mad at at that point. I appreciated the honesty. Unfortunately, he didn't know anything about my roommates getting their shit taken. I would've loved to have seen his ass coming through my window while I was home so I could put these hands on him. There have been hella thefts in my complex and we're getting a new door with automatic locks.

I live in college style apartments, so this pisses me off, but doesn't surprise me.

I ain't even gonna front....I know you weren't tryin to catch a charge for half killin some fool, which is why I'm not ''aww hell naw, you shoulda beat his ass'

Situation like that.....you could report it...see what that could do...or let it go since he returned it and apologized

Reminds me of one night in the projects....some dudes jumped my fence and took shit from my yard. We get to their place (we recognized who took it) and one of their moms said their son had an emotional problem or some shit and begged us not to push the issue with the police. We got our stuff back and didn't press the issue any further.

Until I know I won't be going to jail for some assault shit....I ain't beating no one unless they're actually coming through my window too...shit

I already filed the police report the night before. I told dude he better hope they don't catch him on that video footage. Luckily, for my roommates, there is a warrant out for the guy's arrest who took their shit. Can't really fuck the dude up after the cops got involved and he wasn't in my room when I was there. Funny thing is he told me his roommate got his laptop stolen recently. I'm thinking, "Well why the fuck would you come and take my shit!" Shit, people will pop your ass with no hesitation for shit like that. He's lucky this is mostly college kids out here or where you come from.

I'll give you the best relationship advice ever. Still your mind. You already have the answers - listen to yourself. You are the only one who truly knows what's best for you. Don't go asking other people who have no idea or experience of what you are dealing with.

    Trust yourself.

Most times listening to ourselves is why we find ourselves in shitty positions

I disagree. When I say to listen to yourself...I'm talking about your true self not the bs that runs through your head. That's why I said to still the mind and the answers are there. I could have just as easily said to still the mind and meditate/pray (whatever one happens to do) and the answer will become clear.

If you talk to most people who are nearing death and ask them if they have any regrets in life - the regrets are typically times when they did not trust themselves and listened to what someone else told them to do in life.

People usually get themselves in shitty positions because they live their lives doing what they have been told to do, what outsiders think, society says, etc. Because they are following someone or something rather than tuning into themselves.

But if you really feel the need to get advice from another person, then it's best to get it from someone who you feel is truly successful in whatever it is you are trying to succeed in.
