Chinese restaurant no Africans after sunset

Citing a robbery that took place a year ago a restaurant had instituted a policy that it would not allow african patrons after sunset unless they are taxi drivers, accompanied by a non african, or are 'loyal' africans. Citing the safety of the establishment's chinese customers as the primary reason.

Here is where the story gets very interesting, you would think this place is located somewhere in China, but hold on to your hats the place is located in of all places Kenya and not some minor city but in the capital of Nairobi.

Statement from management.

Ms Esther Zhao, the relations manager, said the restaurant stands by its strict “no-African after 5pm” policy because Africans pose a security threat to its Chinese patrons. She said the patrons feel safer and more comfortable if African patrons are locked out. “We don’t admit Africans that we don’t know because you never know who is Al-Shabaab and who isn’t,” she said.

Only taxi drivers or Africans accompanied by Chinese, European or Indian patrons are allowed into the compound.

It is not just regular Africans though that are turned away several high ranking officials seem to have been turned away as well among those who have been barred from the restaurant, according to the staff, are the former Cabinet Secretary for Interior and Co-ordination of National Government Joseph ole Lenku, and former Education Permanent Secretary and presidential candidate Joseph ole Kiyiapi.

Some workers who spoke on condition of anonymity for fear of losing their jobs denied claims that a select group of Africans are allowed into the restaurant after 5pm.

“It is strictly a no-African policy and we have even had to turn away some prominent Kenyans who were obviously not a security threat,” said one worker.

 

Well shit, China has been robbing Africa of it's natural wealth since forever. They should be giving them Kenyans that Kung Pao (hopefully) Chicken for free just off principle.

A while ago, I posted about my Swedish friend, who married a Kenyan woman. They were traveling to Nairobi for their honeymoon. He landed after she did traveled from Sweden and he traveled from somewhere else.

Anyhow, she, and her family that picked her up went to this Chinese restaurant near the hospital to wait for him and were denied entry to the restaurant. I wonder if its the same restaurant?

Its stunning to me, I have no words!

The restaurant got shut down and the owner was arrested on immigration charges.

I give the Kenyans props for taking this arrogant motherfucker down, but the hubris that this idiot had to do this to people in their own country and think that he could get away with it shows what kind of influence the Chinese have in Africa.
