I don't deal with other women over a man. I deal with the man directly.

When I'd go on dates in DC, typically it'd be ~$30-45. Add drinks, it'd still be under $60 for two. Not sure how they came up with such a high price... maybe by assuming a couple ate at an expensive restaurant in the city, or ordered the most expensive things on the menu.

When I go back in May, date night with the boyfriend is going to be just over $100, because I want to try the expensive buffet I've heard about, and.... well, it's vacation time, I barely spend money when I'm home so why not give it a try!

...Maybe that's just me though, even $50 a person seems high, I never order food that costs that much while out.

Even just friends, sometimes I'll pay, sometimes the friend will pay... but the bill barely breaks $40, even in DC.

That DC number doesn't shock me in the slightest. Best kept secret here y'all is that the cost of living in the Capitol Area is outrageously high. Of course that's offset by the plethora of high incomes around here, thanks to the Federal Gov. But if you plan on doing the town around here, plan on spending some dough. Period.

WoW, where do you party? I'm not exactly the spendthrift type; in fact, I party in uptown on extremely rare occasions. But I have done it & literally paid the price.

It's more the food though, never cost a whole lot for two. If I was out for a meal, I'd just have a single drink.

Actual partying, I'd have a few beforehand, then more while out. I never kept track of price well then :p

Typically partied on H street, Adams Morgan/the U street corridor though! (In the last year, I discovered this site, and used it to find awesome specials before heading out: http://dc.thedrinknation.com/specials/ )

I want to go! None of my friends would have the money to spend $50 on a buffet, so I'd rather pay for the boyfriend and have a cute date night, than for just a friend.
