You could have put this in the Zombie Fans/Walking Dead Thread, that way anyone that hasn't seen the episodes will avoid spoilers. Or at least they should if they aren't being nosey & using common sense........
Wait what? Do you even watch the show? lol First of all it takes far more than just luck to make your way from Atlanta to Charlottesville in a zombie infested post apocalyptic world. And they aren't smart people, its one guy who happened to be an architect and was lucky enough to find people willing to be civil and help build the wall. He's lucky no bad people pulled a governor and just took that shit over. And with Rick when people did dumb shit he handled them he had to learn the very hard way that letting your enemies go can always mean devistation down the road. Look what happened to poor Bob, they should have killed every last one of them at Terminis.
Dude not smart?? It is not a walk in the park to get a degree in architecture. That requires discipline and the ability to study and know how buildings are built. It requires quite a bit of math. Much different than just stabbing a person in the head or shooting a person. He was smart. Rick is just an officer. No offense to the police but I don't think they are using calculus on the job.
Reread what I wrote I said it was a single smart person who made that place possible not smart people And crisis management under extreme unrelenting circumstances is far more important in their situation. Just having a wall means very little. Saw what happened at the prison? That shit crumbled pretty quickly and it was a damn prison. All roles are vital in a situation like that. Can't build a wall if you are constantly trying to fend off roamers and marauders
It crumbled because they didn't know all of the prison. Complete strangers like Tyrese got in. That is not happening in that place. They built the walls. They know who comes in and out and vulnerabilities. Knowledge is power and Rick didn't have that at that prison. Look at how prisoners played his group. Yes they got killed but it was clear weakness that the group didn't know the prison. No reason as to why a prisoner should have sounded an alarm. A single smart person to lead is almost all you need. I think that's why they lost less people than rick's group. I'm pretty sure they were under as much pressure as rick's group. It is that they had that one smart person. One smart person makes a difference.
Fam what show have you been watching? The prison crumbled because outside mofos came with heavier fire power and shot that shit up. It wasn't some covert in the middle of the night assassin shit. I agree one intelligent person can make a difference but intelligence alone is meaningless if you don't have a way to execute said plan and security while it happens. When shit hits the fan and inevitably will because that's the nature of life the wall won't save them quick thinking and true grit will.
season 3: The Governor research how to get in and who was there. Tyrese and group specifically told him who was there and how they got in. current season: They did have a way to execute said plan and security that's how the wall got up. Grimes' group isn't good at thinking quick or otherwise.... Basically go to war and run is their plan. Watch how this goes down. More people have died than have survived under grimes' leadership... grimes may have grit but look at how the group has lost so much....
You have to plan things out before you go there though. I'm not arguing that they didn't shoot the place up but that it wasn't secure because Grimes' group didn't know the place as well as they should have unlike the wall. You can't have a place where folks can drop in on you like that.
Ummmm....What better way to revive a thread that you think is dying than to post in it? Just saying... since you & TDK are having a nice little discussion on the show now....
it would only last for a day like this discussion will. The thread will be dead for close to a week again. Don't worry this discussion will die around tuesday or Wed.
http://www.cinemablend.com/new/Tyrese-Gibson-Hints-He-Green-Lantern-70490.html Everyone's whining about the possibility of the green lantern not being a white guy (Jordan), when in fact there are multiple lanterns and dc already did one with Hal as the main character Whatever..I'm just happy another green lantern movie is coming out, period That's my shit
please not tyrese I don't want to see him turning this into some gangster lantern. Darn it will smith.
Some more nerdgasm I only have like two movies that I paid full price for (VHS back in the day) Aliens and Independence Day With that said....I'll be the first in line to see the sequel http://www.blackfilm.com/read/2015/03/vivica-a-fox-back-for-independence-day-2/ As for the lack of will smith...well whatever...after his last few outings I'm not feeling him like that anymore
