More like dishonest. I literally saw google maps on the cabi guy's phone. He used it to get to me, I bet. however, it is their job to cost you(or me) the most.

I do feel bad for them like you my dad did the cab thing too.
I found myself in the cross roads of feeling bad because my dad was dependent on it to fund the family but I am very unlikely to do that(call a cab). I'm not even sure my dad would do that now given the cost.
dog eat dog world out there.

They'll just have to adjust I don't think its over for them or maybe they'll transition from being a cabbie to driving for Uber or Lyft. Just hate seeing people being displaced.

Yes, this. I started to type a whole financial dilemma but the reality is that the companies are the ones that will go down along with people who don't understand tech or can't afford to buy a car. Everyone else will do fine.

What's the difference between Fort Lauderdale Police and San Fransisco Police?

You can be found to be a racist cop in San Fran and remain on the job.

but In Fort Lauderdale Your ass gets fired or you resign but mostly fired.

let say a total stranger sends you an email because they are applying to a position that you have as well. They simply want to ask a question and get to know about what goes on. would you answer that email?

NO...I also don't discuss jobs I interview for with friends. Too many of us in the same industry up for the same positions. I only pass on job opportunities once ai have declined the offer.

I would wait until I decided whether or not I wanted the position.

I wasn't too clear. You have the position but your supervisor is hiring someone else as well.

Ah ok, I was wondering how this stranger got your email?

I might answer it then but I would probably say something very diplomatic and redirect them to the supervisor rather than give out specific information directly.
