You don't see the irony in praising god for wealth and riches, when money is considered to be the 'root of all evil'

Whatever happened to just giving thanks for waking up in the morning and having a healthy family

For most people God is a genie in a bottle. Gratitude is rarely shown through passing on blessings to others. Hey I make a great living so instead of expensive vacations and 100k cars I should feed at least 100 people for the year. But nope everyone subscribes to this chosen people horseshit and believes they"deserve" nice shit while their brother and sisters starve or go without shelter. Ain't Christianity grand?

People give thanks for waking up healthy and for the family all the time.

There's nothing wrong in praising God for riches, it just depends on your perspective of those riches.
For example, somebody like Sam Simon to me was amazing, so I'm very grateful to him for his riches for he passed them on to help animals in need.

And by the way, it's not money is the root of all evil, it's 'the LOVE of money is a root of all KINDS of evil".

Thus you can be fairhful and wealthy and not suscumb to evil. I support the adage that money only magnifies your core character, be it corrupt or generous. I personally would be humbled and grateful to God if l became wealthy.
