60 Minutes Correspondent Bob Simon was killed in car accident tonight. Very sad and tragic. But I do wonder, how does this (magnitude of crash) happen on a NYC street? The Autobahn or a country road, I could understand. Story: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...Bob-Simon-killed-car-crash-New-York-City.html And what is a livery Cab?
Speed May Have Been a Factor in Crash That Killed CBS Veteran Bob Simon http://www.wsj.com/articles/speed-m...-that-killed-cbs-veteran-bob-simon-1423758092 he wasn't wearing a seat belt - so sad
Speed had to have been a factor! Look at the car... It's virtually unrecognizable. It looks like he ran into something fast and then a tank ran over the front! Wow.
They said the driver had a gaggle of violations Like u said...the cars were obliterated.......seatbelts don't matter when ur ride is balled up into a paper ball Ur just going to end up as a very restrained pulp
I'm wondering if the driver fell asleep or something... He had 9 violations/infractions or something... maybe it's time to consider another profession? Definitely now... Sad story. I never can wrap my head around why people choose to NOT wear a seat belt.
I always wear a seatbelt when I go to a cab. Things are going to tighten up since a legend died in a cab.
Just another one of those cases that could have been avoided When ur driving ur really putting ur life in the hands of everyone around u
I sometimes hate driving at night. A lot of crazies are doing their version of The Fast And The Furious on the road these days. I was on the turnpike a few years ago and two cars suddenly passed in front of me. I nearly lost it that night.
and yet the person with a seatbelt on survived and Simon was tossed... I will be putting my seatbelt when I get into a taxi or limo for now on.
