No way. Even if she was to become single again. We have been tight since 6th grade but I'm sure we are not compatible in that way. I call her my sister. Have been good friends with her now husband since college.

Beasty, your avi is throwing me for a loop. Lol. I see your name and a woman's picture and it doesn't compute.

I have (a BM), and it turned out to be a disaster in the end.

I've never dated my best friend. If I did, it would drastically change the dynamic of our relationship(but I may be wrong). If it works out, it is because of the following factors:

    1. Knowledge of ourselves.

    2. Shared experiences and interests.

Comedian Chris Titus once said on his short-lived Fox sitcom, that best friends are good and bad because they know you better than you know yourself.

This observation was better explained in the film The Best Man where Terence Howard's character of the musician Quint was often left alone because he knew about all of the characters because he had seen their strengths and weaknesses up close and from a distance. He could read them like a book and he studied them hard. And that is what scared them about Quint.

I think he is either still doing stand-up or is a comedy writer. Maybe both.

Sooo.... are you saying I should stop dating [very select] friends and actually start "dating" random dudes that are not my friends to begin with?!

What I gotta do is keep it (continuously) single. Boys are nothing but trouble anyway. ;)

I was married for 10+ years. Most of the time I could say the same. Still, it is what it is.
