I DON'T DATE BLACK GUYS!!!!!!

Yes there are all sorts of different specifics listed. They might say they don't want skinny women, women with kids, bbws, smokers, drinkers, no crazies, they must be employed, that they ONLY date black women (or white women, asian, etc), they want a woman who cooks. You name it they list it. People act like they are ordering a suit when they are doing online dating.

I don't know that they are getting a lot of messages. I've asked a few of them if they get a lot of messages, some say they do and some don't.

You said something about that the men would be the ones to approach more often. But there are a lot of men who have become really lazy with online dating. They think they can sit back and wait for the women. Many of them have started lying about their age, body type, and so forth too.

 

It's not just race based. Men say they want a fit woman, or they don't date BBWs or they don't want women with kids or women with multiple baby daddies. Or they want WW or they only date sistahs. (Their words.)

 

You hit on the head everyone treats this shit like online shopping. If I were to find myself single again I'm going low tech. It seems more exhausting to date online even though it's suppose to be easier.

this may also be an age gap thing too. Most bm my age that I encounter don't discriminate based on race. I can see the other things as far as kids and body type though.

Shiiiiit you ain't lying. I've definitely had to work much harder at it that a lot my white male homely counterparts. The most basic white dudes I know get women like it's nothing but then I'm reminded of one very important fact. Just because you get a woman usually doesn't mean you get a prize more often than not you get a headache. The rare ones the amazing ones don't care about race so if you get one confirm you'll win a lot more than most.

 

Well in some ways it's a good thing that you can just straight up say what it is you want (or don't want). But yah, I have to wonder when I look at really happy couples, how many would have ever connected if they had to have done it online. It's gotten pretty crazy with all the laundry lists of specs.

I thought it might be an easier way too...but it's not, just much more BS to weed through. Not to mention, IF they are even at all who or what they claim to be. There's all sorts of scammers and fakes out there who put up profiles just for the hell of it.

 

IDK - I think you might be surprised. But then I've heard that a lot of the responses are more from those who are looking to experiment, novelty type thing.

I've noticed in some of the areas in Northern CA IR is a hot trend right now.

I think for those men who are more interested in an actual relationship may have a tougher time, especially in certain age ranges.

Hell I was still getting asked by men if I've ever dated or been with a black man before though, or comments about how they didn't think I would be open to dating black men. I guess I didn't have the "look".....wtf?! I think there are still a lot of stereotypes out there.

But yah I'm back on the low tech method.

Unfortunately many stereotypes do exist...as if bm only attract a certain group of ww, when in reality, bm attract them from all groups

It just depends on ur location and of course status/circles u travel in, speaking from experience

 

You ain't lying. I started doing better and my options for better. It all matters but for bm you almost have to prove you're worth the time. Know what I mean?

 

Been through that a lot in my 20s not so much my 30s. Women I meet now want stability and a real commitment

Yes of course black men attract white women of all sorts, just as white women attract black men of all sorts.

I don't worry about stereotypes or what anyone else thinks, says, or does as evidenced by who and how I am and how I live my life.

Right. it seems to cycle back around. Then you will get the ones who were married for a long time and get divorced and are into playing. Which is a lot of what's online in the 40-50s range.

Well if I can figure out how to do an avatar pic again I'll post one. I've had all sorts of pics on this site over the years. I'm 49, 5'4, bbw, long dark hair, brown eyes, light olive skin. I tend to give off a casual corporate exec/soccer mom look.

What look I go for? Great eyes, smiles, and darker skin get my attention. I border on a skin color contrast fetish. Body type would probably be taller (5'10+), former athlete more of a teddy bear now, classic/casual dress. But non of that matters if they don't have the intelligence, personality, or character.
