Why are you pigeonholing the man and his show as "black comedy" rather than just calling it what it is : comedy? That's like saying Chris Rock or Kevin Hart are "black comedians" as if their comedy is aimed at and enjoyed only by black people. The show is aimed at all people and can be enjoyed by all people. Only narrow minded individuals who view the world through a limited lens would have a problem with him and the show.

I wouldn't even break it down on that level either. He's a comic who happens to be black. And being black he's just presenting things from the unique perspective of being a black male. No different from when Chappelle Show was on the air or Key & Peele now.

i remember wesly snipes addressed a question to some extent.

he said something similar to what you said in the answer.
it would be wonderful that people would acknowledge the talents and then not put race in the same sentence.

i was watching a commentary show by fox brining up race and wilmore.

whats was interesting was they were asking can he discuss things whites would not

    i miss dave...damn.

    key and peele is ok.

Non black folks are tuning into that show just like black folks. Only people that will take issue with it are the usual suspect ass Fox News Zombies and far right leaning Dittoheads, be they black or non black.
