I think a Minor Football League will dilute the romantic affair people have with football and college football. It is what it is because the formula works. (look at baseball and the Farm system/ Minor Leagues, no one cares, barely follows on the scale College ball is). OSU gives dude a free ride to play college ball. Yeah the schools make millions and I actually think the players should be able to capitalize on their successes (ie: autograph money, free car, free housing, appearance fees)...but they STILL need to hone that brain. It's the biggest muscle they own, and there are a lot of dumb, broke jocks out there. His career could fizzle and what's he got to fall back on. An empty head? I personally think there is no more powerful a player than one who who can understand not just his playbook, but conceptualizes the blueprints behind the game.
I completely agree...if he thinks school is not fun he needs to talk to some of the 2nd & 3rd string NFL QBs...practice and studying the play book ...repeat....repeat...repeat...
