Gurley is a freak athlete with real top end speed at 230lbs a rare breed get Gregory Williams the usc def lineman or cooper at 4, if gurley doesn't appear to slip all the way till 37 or wherever we pick rd 2 then hell yea give up 2016 no.1 to move back up, even moreso than Winston he is the one kid without a doubt stud,, in this draft ,, hell today after Peterson Murray bell he is a instant top 8 back,,

When you stop and think about, isn't it pretty insane though? "Yeah, I declared for the draft because they wouldn't let me start in college." Ohio State's QB controversy is the best kind to have.

As much as I hate to see him go, being a running back means that he has to go as early as he can since the shelf lives of even the best RBs are really short. Plus Georgia still has Nick Chubb and Sony Michel so I guess we'll be okay. But yeah, Gurley is a damn beast.

Why only three starts though? He can't be that good, then.

If he goes pro, the only upside is teams won't have much film on him until they figure him out.

He was the third-string QB. The first-string QB was injured before the season started, and the second-string QB played until the last week of the regular season so Jones didn't even have a chance to do anything until the first two guys went down with season-ending injuries.

And don't forget about Michigan. They went and got Harbaugh so the Big Ten is about to be on an upswing for a while.

Nebraska went and messed that up and hired mike Riley , he isn't better than pollini , one more splash coach ,, could be Franklin at penn st Nebraska needed a big name ( Jim tressell) would have been perfect there, his 5 yr ncaa show cause is over , could have gotten him cheap he would have brought assistants , flip side could be bad for business , gonna turn a blind eye to it going on

I think that the Big Ten is probably done with Tressell. I'd be shocked of he ever came back. Penn State's future is looking bright, though. Now that the sanctions are officially over Franklin can recruit at full strength. Plus he made Vandy into a dangerous team in the SEC so anything is possible!

I'm for a true minor league football system so won't go into your remark about him and class,, will only say osu knocked on his momma door because of football and will and can turn him away after 1 semester if the coach feels he isn't productive enough to earn a scholarship

Yes he said it but yea a whole lot of good and bad people will tell him to stay and some good and bad will tell him he should go,, in the end hundred of thousands of dollars gonna win out and he went to osu to go to the nfl not get a degree and work yet 90% do but that's not the dream

If you would like would like will share my idea

Tressell hasn't done anything worse than any other coach but probably right but petrino keeps coming back to life maybe sweater vest can,,

Like Franklin told the locals here he knew more about leading young men than dufus Derrick dooley ever could

I think a Minor Football League will dilute the romantic affair people have with football and college football. It is what it is because the formula works. (look at baseball and the Farm system/ Minor Leagues, no one cares, barely follows on the scale College ball is). OSU gives dude a free ride to play college ball. Yeah the schools make millions and I actually think the players should be able to capitalize on their successes (ie: autograph money, free car, free housing, appearance fees)...but they STILL need to hone that brain. It's the biggest muscle they own, and there are a lot of dumb, broke jocks out there. His career could fizzle and what's he got to fall back on. An empty head?
I personally think there is no more powerful a player than one who who can understand not just his playbook, but conceptualizes the blueprints behind the game.

I completely agree...if he thinks school is not fun he needs to talk to some of the 2nd & 3rd string NFL QBs...practice and studying the play book ...repeat....repeat...repeat...
