There was an old elevator company in Sweden, who used the swastika in their logo.you could see them on really old elevators. These were installed long before the Nazis destroyed the symbol for eternity.

I remember as a child that I was bewildered by those swastikas and why someone would use them in their logo. I didn't learn until later the history of the swastika.

 

Talk about one bad turn ruining things for everyone.

 

I cannot believe we've gotten 9 pages in and no one has mentioned one of the most bad assed rock bands ever: Funkadelic. They are the heavy rock/soul template that the world has been chasing and trying to replicate for 40 years. Prince, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Lenny Kravitz all owe a portion of their success to Funkadelic. Case in point:
