One of the purposes for going to war with Vietnam was to halt the spread of communism

We fought to achieve that goal with much more than bombs and bullets, and that was way back in in the 60s and 70s

The non violent methods employed (ie psychological ops) were still considered warfare and if captured, you faced the same punishment as a grunt rifleman or bomber pilot

 

I knew china were with Russia ..but it makes sense I suppose, that they are allied communists.

I remember playing a war sim where ur protecting South Korea from the north in a reignited Korean War. If the war goes on long enough, the Chinese come in to aid North Korea and it goes all to hell

There have been some examples of socialism being effective or a social democracy like Canada.
