I want to dislike him for that 'ish but, my faith and own experience (I've done my share of effin' up and would never do it again) command that I take him at his word and give him the benefit of the doubt. If he says he's a changed man, and all actions I've seen point to it, then so be it. He gets a pass from me.

My son and I were having a conversation about the state of things in this country and he said something very similar to this. That the thug/gangsta image is almost glorified within certain segments of the black community, so why are they surprised when many white folks believe that is the norm or something to be proud of?
