I take what I said about the dailymail being 'tolerant' back

The highest rated comments are just ragging on the boy/parents, and even involve fabricated shit which the mob is thumbing up

They're sayin the kid shouldn't have pointed the gun at the police????!!!?

Didn't the reports say the kid didn't actually point the gun at them?

    Some really sad shit

Be real now, what kind of gotdamn sense are we expecting 12 year olds to have

Once again the internet refuses to see a fucking child and is judging this kid as a man

The internet? Don't you mean racist white folks.
We should stop being shocked and start preparing. Winter is coming.

    I'm not shocked at all

It's been proven that people show bias towards blacks in countless studies administered by reputable entities

Idiots can play stupid if they want and pass the buck or refuse it altogether, but test after test after test is proving that racism runs deep and affects the way people process blacks in their minds

    Whatever

Enjoy your Malibu sleepovers in your affluent gated community sharpton, while the poor blacks are being targeted and swept up by the system

You have NOTHING to worry about :p

Shit after five cops stopped me for possibly trespassing on a business in the summer I was quickly reminded no matter who I date no matter what I achieve my ass is black and even if I forget someone will always remind me.

Remember the response eric holder got when he said that he was stopped for nothing, regardless of the fact that he was like a DA or something

Stop and frisk made me a true believer

Dude even with Stop and Frisk I thought that you had to be doing something like loitering for them to do anything m I'll admit suburban living gave me a false sense of security. Bottom line there's a fear culture directed at minorities especially black men. The mere sight of us sends certain people into a panic. It breeds hate and irrational thinking.

Which was studied countless times yet some people act like it's all in our heads, lol

if ur well off but happen to be black while in a targeted black area, ur going to get stopped with the rest of them, in an attempt to 'save black men from themselves'

The situation is sad and the fact that law enforcement thinks that by alienating thousands of minorities they'll improve the condition...well...

with the countless white kids who walk around from Kentucky to Kansas using guns and carrying them from here to there during whatever time of year in those red states. . . how is it that a black 7th grader gets gunned down before the cartoons go off the air in the afternoon but none of them from Alabama to Minnesota have ever been shot on sight????

Did you read the story you posted?
The kid unfortunately did not obey the law. He had the BB gun on a table, he put it in his waistband, when the cop told him to raise his hands, he didn't obey the command when every 12 yr old would shit thier pants and raise them..and instead reached for the BB gun...

    Here is the gun....

The bright orange safety that distinguishes it from a real 9 mm gun was missing from it. The cops responding were not told it was possibly a fake gun. Seriously what should the officer have done? The cop no doubt feels fucking awful over it and has to live with this for the rest of his life.

How about TALK to the kid and explain the situation???

Ask him like any other adult would, is that a real gun???
Tell the kid they got a call that some kid had a gun and is that you??

Did they ask him to put the gun down??
How about firing a warning shot in the air to let the kid know your gun is REAL??:smt067

Explain to him how serious the situation is and if he doesn't want to get hurt put his damn hands up.

Ever heard of a tear gas canister?? You know, something to disable the suspect without killing him??

Cops are lazy and too often choose the easy path to conflict resolution which means killing someone and figuring out why it happened later.

This is what's called institutional racism.

The establishment simply does not value all lives the same. The lives of Black children are considered expendable, and if the easiest way to resolve a situation is to murder a juvenile suspect, the only question most POs need to answer afterwards is where are they going to get some donuts and coffee??

You shoot a kid dead in less than 5 minutes without knowing more info about that gun because you don't give a shit.

When I was growing up almost every kid in my neighborhood had toy guns, some very realistic looking. Nobody called the cops on us or thought we were about to gangbang.

Shit, there wasn't even a report of gunfire so why all the paranoia and fear??
Too many folks in American society view Black males as some kind of supernatural menace and can't think clearly when they confront them.

The level of fear POLICE OFFICERS had for a 12 year old boy who happened to be Black is outrageous.

Growing up in our era, kids might have shot each other, but not cops. Today is different. Everyone seems to be shooting everyone. There is no respect for life anymore it seems. This ended horribly in the worst way. I doubt the cop feels indifferent as you suggest. There is a video of it....the family's lawyer saw it. We will hopefully be able to see it and judge for ourselves.
