Date rape was just as common back in the day, women just didn't report it.

It was one of those things where a woman would chalk it up to life experience and move on.

There used to be a common term pre-1960, 'slipped a mickey', referring to having one's drink spiked with a drug that knocked someone unconscious.

You hear the term often in those old crime noir and gangster movies from the 1940s and '50s.
