Great video. I love his passion and conviction. And he's right.

Being that he served in the Marine Corps and then the Navy(he was a Lieutenant), I understand his passion. The better treatment of veterans should go without saying or restrictions.

    I couldn't agree more.

Please they served their purpose who cares what happens after.
I'm just saying how we treat them not just the empty words we say.

And the government (both parties) deploys troops far too casually, especially when it's in the interest of some business concern.

Because rich men wage war the children of poor men bleed in these wars.
As long as the decisions of decision makers don't touch them they have no incentive to choose differently.

    Basically

I think americans take their strong, standing military for granted

Look at places like the ukraine getting invaded or the constant rocket attacks on both sides of the Gaza strip

Look into history at ww1 and ww2

I have a fond appreciation of Israel and their mandatory service requirement, because it distributes the duty to serve the country which you fucking live in and whose benefits you certainly enjoy

It would definitely serve as an educational experience because many people just don't care about what vets go through

When you look at the staggering amount of homeless vets and the inadequate VA support system, it's hard not to believe that

Long waits to start receiving benefits once you separated have been notorious

Watch the old michael Moore doc where he's filming in the streets with a marine vet. They ask a politician if his kids were serving or some shit and get stonewalled. Basically, Moore was saying that military service should be shared among the rich and the poor. It's been a known tradition that poor people would flock to the military because they had no other options and just wanted to escape poverty.

Everyone benefits from the sacrifice as long as they live in 'Murica, so why shouldn't the rich feel a strong sense to serve

Oh that's right because they're scumbags who want lesser people to die for their security

Exactly. So this bs about supporting the troops is a pure lie. What you say is less important that you actually do

It's horseshit politics that can be immediately debunked through a few google searches

If everyone just simply left the military, people would scream bloody murder

Just like if all the garbage men decided to stop picking up trash for a few months

The minute they can mostly automate the services you're going to see a complete shift on "support our troops"
And again this is why I call Republicans pure evil because they promote this shit the absolute hardest. But they under no circumstances under absolutely no policies actually support human rights. People are either expendable or in need of termination.
They are by far the most cruel and selfish people we have in this country. They LOVE the idea of expanding the military at the expense of education and food for the people.

I literally cringed when foodstamps took a reduction

It's like one of those social programs out there that you think would be immune to reductions, because people need food to survive

That was a huge 'I don't give a damn cos I don't have to worry about starving'

Fine...reduce basic needs programs like that but please legislate euthanasia, so that I could die peacefully before having to make the decision to eat this week, while forgoing food next week

Euthanasia? That ain't the Christian thing to do. Now if you starve well tough titties deal with the pain. Suffer and watch us turn our backs while we eat. We see you cold, we see you starving its not like we don't see it but it ain't our problem so oh well. No empathy at all, they'd rather protest over unborn children than actually feed those that are here.

    Well, shit

    Lol

Seriously tho this country is broken like fuck

At least obama tried to make healthcare more affordable and accessible, while everyone else sat on their asses slinging poop at him like a bunch of monkeys

Dude a lot more than that, did you see this partnership to lessen carbon emissions with China.
That probably the single most important thing any president has done in office in the last 50 years. This beat out his stimulus plan (not totally his, Bush signed off on it too), this beat out killing Osama Bin Laden, lowered student loan interest rates, reduced the deficit. If he were white they would singing Reagan who?
He'd the second coming of Jesus and this was all done with an obstructionist Republican congress who vowed to block him at every turn at the expense of the American people. I dare anyone to show me Democratic lead congress who vowed to do the same thing.
Show me democrats who cheered on cuts from the needy. I'm not saying evil is forever but its is incredibly clear what evil looks like and its the GOP

Funny cos the 'experts' (errr racist aggregate) over on the yahoo comments section sees this as more obama groveling at the hands of his Chinese overlords

Lmao no one reads anymore. I'm on my conspiracy shit as much as the next guy but a commitment to reduce carbon emissions is the absolute best decision made in decades especially from the two countries pumping that shit out the most. Global warming/climate change is real and the science shows that its man made.

How people could just use eyeball science and look at shit like smog or green rivers littered with dead bodies and trash and NOT realize we are having an impact is beyond me

This is where I gotta give MS his due. A lot of these mofos are religious and delusional. They don't believe in a world where man has any impact, it's all in the hands of God
