People forget there are white people in this fprum and its a little weary better yet a lot weary of the cpnstant white versus black.

I stated this in the random convo thread....this is suppose to be a sanctuary for IR.

I know by very definition that I'm about to do what I suggest you don't, but why not even stop posting in a thread you don't think should exist. I know this has been a topic as of late, so why even fuel the fire, even with displeasure? We've all seen threads die out before they even start because no one posts in them. I understand where a lot of you are coming from with racial threads, and weather I agree with having them or the amount of them, it obviously makes some members feel some type of way, and I for one respect you guys more than a stranger off the street because we do bond here on some level...so out of respect, maybe we should back off the racial threads, a clearly touchy subject, not even fuel the fire and stick to the alternate threads that people are making conscious effort to promote for posititivity and distraction from all the negative racial shit.

Not saying we should turn a blind eye to racial injustice, but find a different way or platform for it.

    *stepping off my soapbox.

The unfortunate thing is, those threads don't die out. The absence of presence often lends itself to a free-for-all to speak whatever they want, often dragging race or other members names into the fray to accuse/insult, and if there is any objection, are then accussed of/called racially-charged names.

It's like the moment we get some mutual understanding or a semblence of decorum going on the forum, those with agendas come along (some who barely engage in conversation, if at all ) treating this place as if it functions in a vacuum. Aren't there a plethora of other forums on the web to constantly feed that would welcome it much more than here?
Because seriously, while yes this is an interacial site, there is waaay more to us than our 'races'.

Sometimes being silent is the same as accepting the statement.

The irony is some will start threads of this nature then turn around and wonder why when they go on dating sites many women will say "no black men" or check every box but Black. Why would anyone want to put up with a perpetual victim?

It is not the only reason, but it is one of them. Too bad some BM can't grasp that being a man with a victim complex is a turn-off for most women.

True but I don't think the argument is about positive/negative threads, I think it is about the constant passive aggressive "bitch-assedness" that is coming from some BM towards WW and Whites in general on a sight that is supposed to be about BM and WW.

What good are positive threads (why would WW take them serious) when every other thread is going to be another subtle (or sometimes not so subtle) swipe at WW and her place (real and/or imagined) in the social hierarchy?

The site will be what we, the posters, make it. If people are tired of bitch-assedness that is coming from BM towards WW and Whites in general, then start a thread more to your liking.

Honestly, I think the whole idea of there being so many posts against W* is a little misleading. It seems that we're beginning to see pro-black as being synonymous with anti-white. For example, the Ferguson thread to me is not about black vs. white so much as it is about the BM on this site having an outlet to express frustration over our conditions in this country. Pretty much anywhere else on the internet and we'd be met 'shut up n***r monkey' responses. Frankly, I take no issue with there being discussions on the realities that BM face on a day-to-day basis. Just as I take no issue with there being discussions on the realities that WW face on a day-to-day basis. We have to be honest with ourselves though and accept that the scales will not be exactly balanced on those two topics... one will without question far outweigh the other.

But also, lets be real for a second. If I see a thread that doesn't interest me, I don't click on the mother fucker. Like, I can give a shit who <random_disney_starlet09> is sleeping with, so I don't click on those threads. If you don't want to talk about Trayvon or Malcolm X or whatever., don't click on the 'That's some fucked up shit that happened to Trayvon' thread. If you click on a thread, and read the replies, and take the time to post... you have just as much interest in it as everybody else who clicked on it, read the replies and took the time to post.

True to a point.....you would have threads that is begnin as hell then turn into an antiwoman convo or whites are doing this or that or bw aint shit. Convo.

If you look at some of the titles of the threads you would be like hold the fuck up.
