Ravens RB Ray Rixe charged with assault on fiancée

Man I've never had a woman come at me like that, but if I thought a woman was unfairly trying to cause me serious bodily harm, or kill me, I could see myself putting my hands on her.:smt100

So Goodell continued today to deny that anyone in the NFL 'saw' the tape previously (and that Rice essentially lied to him about what happened)... Well ESPN radio just reported that Rice immediately told the Raven's brass, et al, what happened and everyone knew what was on the tape -- frame-by-frame -- within 2 days.... That coach Harbaugh asked that Rice be suspended after the TMZ tape, but was overruled by the Ravens owner/s who pleaded with Goodell for leniency in punishing Rice... which of course they got. So they all knew what was on the tape, frame by frame.

In all seriousness I read that story earlier, and I personally think it's in poor taste - period. (So are the Ebola costumes, though my friend's son did a 'we are all dying-Ebola' skit on his comedy channel which did make me chuckle, but that's because I know him.)

The sad thing is, Janay is speaking out how it's wrong to mock her assault, but she refuses to do the same on how domestic violence is wrong, so some people probably look at her and feel she is in no place to complain.

 

JordanC introduced me to dailymail a while ago and since then it's been in my daily rotation along with yahoo news and msnbc

 

well... Janay is stuck in the middle. her finaces are tied to ray rice. If he doesn't have a job.... How is she going to make it on what they have? She speaks out and she loses money Those people are ass holes.

Er, she could get a job. And her dignity back in the process. But I guess some women have a price, and a cross to bear. She chose hers, and declared her value. One day, she will wake up. When the nagging voice gets louder, and the disrespect (such as this) becomes rampant, she might reclaim her self worth....but right now, she's a broken woman.

 

I dont know it will take her relatives to get her to leave. She might stay to prove to the world they are wrong about him

 

I really should explain more when I say these things. Ray rice probably owns a mansion or some very expensive items that taxes have to be paid on. Taxes that only someone making as much as he was could afford. I sincerely doubt that she can get a job paying for that. You may say why not divorce him. Well they are going to come after her if he can't afford it. She chose the right thing. It is just that world punished her on his actions because she is tied to him. Had he not been fired!!!! She could have done the divorce.
