The teacher is gonna get fired because she fought back.

If the parents of the child have any riteousness about themselves they will petition the district to reinstate the teacher

If they were good parents, the whole thing would have never gotten to that point. I doubt they will say much.

Honestly, this is probably the best thing for this teacher. She can find another job where she isn't disrespected. Just wish she was given an opportunity to quit instead of being fired.

I think the student was definitely to blame in this instance. The teacher should not have let it go this far. When the lady interviewed said, "She should've handled it in a professional way," I have to wonder how can you handle this situation professionally? Letting the student have their way? Letting the student assault you? In high school, I've seen my science teacher chase after a student. I don't know what the outcome was afterward.

This incident also reminds me of a shocking incident after recess when I was in the first grade. There was a boy, who happened to be white, who didn't get along with all of the other kids(our class was small of 4 and it was all boys). He played rough. So rough he hit me across the forehead with a stick and caused a serious cut. We left this kid alone. Our teacher, named Maureen, was a tall attractive brunette who loved her job as a teacher. She hated to call in sick. She would sometimes say that she missed us when she came back. Maureen would later fall victim to this kid's violence.
After recess, we were in class getting ready to begin the next phase which was language arts. Maureen saw me and the other two boys, but not the other kid. The other kid was in another room. Maureen asked him to come and join us. Suddenly, we saw Maureen touch her head and fall to the floor. We got up and ran to her. She was out cold. Hit by a wooden toy block. Me and my friend in the class ran to the principal's office and got him to come to the classroom. He looked in on Maureen and we found out that she was okay. She was sent home and a staffer took over. The kid showed no emotion whatsoever at what he had done. He just stared blankly as me and another boy confronted him. The confrontation didn't last long and we were sent back to class. We learned later that the kid was expelled and Maureen had quit the job that she loved.
I cannot forget that incident for as long as I live. As to this incident, the student should've have known from jumpstreet that there is a time and a place for everything and that it is a privilege to be in a classroom. She spoiled it for herself. I don't think the teacher is going to be punished. A reprimand, maybe but nut punished. Then again, the teacher may end up transferring out of that school.

I just sent a teacher friend the link and he said "i wish a nigga would". Shit like this just dont happen in the my neck of the woods cus the kid would be given extra whooping by the parents for daring to fight the teacher and if the parents tried anything funny, the kid will be kicked out of the school, plain and simple. I know why i am raising my kids here instead of London.

The teacher is at fault because she's the teacher. She's an adult and she should know better. However...

That teacher seems a lot like me. I can't even blame her for getting upset because that student was way out of line. She's a much better person than me because I'd have no problem with beating the ever-loving shit out of a teenager. It's also why I can't have kids lol. I don't have the patience to put up with that kind of bullshit. I'd kick my kids' natural asses first :smt068

My late older brother and my younger brother(before he became a principal) were teachers and they ran a tight ship in their classrooms. At the end of the day, they would talk shop about their experiences. My sister-in-law(my younger brother's wife) is a teacher and she deals with the same things in her school. Do they have stories to tell? Yes, they do. Some of which would drive a person to drinking or worse. I recall in Tamarac, Florida, a swing club called Trapeze II was regularly raided by the Broward Sheriff's Office. One of the people who was detained was a young woman who was a teacher. I don't think that the young woman was setting a bad example by going to the swing club, she was compartmentalizing between her profession and her personal life. It's self-medication. My younger brother self-medicates by grilling chicken and ribs on a sunny day while listening to music and watching football. I had once thought about becoming a reading teacher later in life. I am not so sure about that now because as a teacher of any subject, the teacher cannot really choose their students. They simply take them in as they are and hope that they can get through to them. I suppose that is part of the challenge. Drill Instructors in the military are tasked with the same tasks(but they have discretion to dismiss a recruit if he/she fails to learn).
