That sounds like the line from ice cube going off on nwa when they had their rap feud.

The saga continues...in my james earl jones voice

    You're entitled to that opinion.

Now, point out where she injected race in the conversation at anytime in regards to why she doesn't think Iggy is Hip Hop since that is the rationale that keeps popping up from some of ya'll as to why she said what she said.

I put in there (the race issue)

When she started talking about "culture"

She also started saying "not because shes white....blah blah" then she mentioned the awards issue.

Which is odd that she blames corporate but shes also mad about giving awards in pop and rap. You cant have both ways.

Dont get me wrong...i tip my hat to her on how she addressed the busta rhymes and qtip issues but theres too many holes in her position.

She kind of sound like the old gaurd dont want to give up the keys to the fort.

She sounds like my grand dad when he called rap trash and music is dead as we know it.

Its funny im saying the same shit

Dude? You realize you're all over the place again, right?

What is your exact gripe with what that woman had to say about Hip Hop? You keep moving the bar on what it is you disagree with. First she was a dumbass for even saying anything about Iggy Azalea and now she's wrong for giving any personal critique about Hip Hop all together. Sounds like you're the one drinking the haterade right now.

Im pointing out what she said and saying to me she turned into a race issue.

Go to about 8:30 point and listen to the rest. Thats when she started about the awards, culture and what not. Im evaluating and interpreting what she said.

The main point over all is you cant shrink the tent of what is hip hop. Its too broad now. Its political , gangstar (not gangster), club and its pop.

    She wants to shrink it.

Thats why i asked you guys what is hip hop....vecause what you guys may see it different from what it originally started as.

You do understand why she was talking about awards, right? You do understand that the award shows are run & overseen by the same corporate interest that control the record labels & commercial radio, right? You did pick up on the part when she started talking about people writing songs and the whole awards thing where she did say she WAS NOT directing her comments at anyone in particular, that she was making a general statement about Hip Hop as a whole, right? Again, where was race interjected?

Where did she try to shrink Hip Hop? Again she pointed out a lesser known white female rapper with her own unique style & sound as being more Hip Hop than Iggy. How is that "shrinking" Hip Hop?

I did pick up that part (awards). I put that in one ofmy posts. Thats why i said she cant have it both ways..she complaining about a rapper getting pop and rap awards etc...she compared r and b to rap and then she mentioned white artist....

History....hall oates was considered blue eyed soul....michael mcdonald and the doobie brothers got lots of love from blacks. Phil collins was dogged by whites because blacks loved his music..if my memory is right they showed up on the r and b charts.

If r and b was around ...what she tried to slice r and b and neo soul...i cant speak on that because i dont know if there was any real shade on neosoul.

If it was then i get her point but neosoul would be down because they came in the time of hip hop with a hip soul sound mixed with a jazz grooze

Listen to her definition. Then i talked about that with whodini and the soul train interview

Also the Righeous Brothers got love from Blacks as well as the Late Great Lady T.

Dude. Stop bringing in some old Whodini & Soul Train interview and other shit that has no bearing on the interview at hand. Stick to the posted interview since that was the source for this thread topic.

You have had your mind made up from jump that Rah Digga is straight hating for no other reason than Iggy Azalea is white. All this other shit you keep throwing out is just you trying to rationalize that shit, since you have yet to point out exactly where Rah Digga interjected race & focused strictly on race in any way in that interview.

Why are getting mad. She brought up race and now u are mad because i caught it.

As far as whodini (lol)...she is from that era...shes speaking on the era and so it is relevant. Also history repeats itself. Thats why its relevant.

I went and listened and i gave props on the shit she said.

Her definition came from that era and thats why whodini was relevant. If u paid attention u would see that she is shrinking the tent with that definition. Even the dude in the vid challenged her on some shit.

Hell its not about if i like rah or not. Its about the principle.

Lol rationalize shit. Come on now . U arent getting mad because someone has a different opinion.

Also i told u several points where she injected race

Please don't start that nigga shit again. I have no reason to get mad.

And where did you get the fact that Rah Digga is from the era of Whodini?? Rah Digga came out with Busta & Flip Mode Squad, so why you keep dragging rappers from the 80's into this shit? Again what is the relevance to the interview at hand??

If u think on it....she was about any where between 15 to 20 years old at the minimum. She has to be any where to be the age 40 years old. . When joined the squad. look at her.

Look at your posts....your tone and what not. You are showing anger big time. Cursing and what not.

She's 39. She came out with Flip Mode in 95. Still not getting what that has to do with Whodini & why you keep bringing them up in connection with the present interview at hand........

Umm hmmm. And you don't curse at all, right? Just when you're angry, right? Negro please.
