How is she "butt hurt"? Did you even watch the interview and listen to what was said and the context of the conversation? She was not hating on Iggy Azalea because she was "butt hurt". She gave her opinion on Iggy WHEN ASKED what she thought of her & Nicki Minaj and then gave a critique on what she sees is wrong with Hip Hop as a whole. She didn't throw her comments out there on some random hater/butt hurt trip as you keep implying. Like she said herself when did it become a crime in Hip Hop to call out other people for being fake simply because they currently have some songs that are hits?

Now she discusses everything i and others brought brought up. Btw i never saw the interview till now ..

    1. She defined hip hop and discussed very briefly about the history. Tdk...sit down class is in session.

    2. She mentioned higher ups like u mentioned but who is at fault? The consumer...like burger king. .if you dont eat it then they are gone

    3. The culture thing ...benefit for other but cost us. And tthe awards issue...Like bone crusher said be creative...hip hop black artists need to up their game. Hell i said that a long time ago.

    4. Shes wrong about writing your own rhymes issue. If thats the case have no beats with the rhymes unless u write them yourself. No sampling and no computer generated beats ....none...thats bullshit
Hell hip hop was str8 other people musoc with their rhymes. Im cool with that but dont come off purist when real musicians are dogging hip hop....the glass house philosophy.

Rah brought up something i asked from the start. Define hip hop.

Rah and i came from the dame time period. When rap was created by herc. (if i remember )more of political and social issues but the whodini in an interview with don on soul train we can rap about anything not just politics and social issues.. we
    can rap about other stuff.

Oh btw don didnt like rap. He hated it

I find t interesting that niggas been having other niggas write their rhymes (I'm looking at you R.R.) since DJ's were scratching with stone tablets and no one said they weren't Hip-hop. But, a white chick does the same and suddenly she's not Hip-hop? Nope, no double standards there. ...lol

If it were a black girl doing the same thing I don't think she would say she isn't Hip-hop. She would say she was corny, but that's where it would end.

Of course the consumers are going to buy whatever the corporate labels sell them if that is the only thing they push on them since they all so own the radio stations that dictate what is "hot". Radio listeners no longer determine what is hot or not any longer. If the record labels are choosing to sign garbage rappers over quality rappers & promoting them as the true & only face of Hip Hop how is it the consumers fault for buying into it? The consumers are at fault for choosing not to go outside commercial radio bounds and settling for the manufactured styles that the record labels have chosen to put on the airwaves.

As far as the people writing their own rhymes issue, Rah Digga was not going that deep into the issue as you seem to be doing. Again she was using it in the context of how rappers put on a persona of "being real" but don't even write their own rhymes. Iggy Azalea falls into that category. Go into the "What Are You Listening To Now Thread" and check out the two songs I have posted by Chelsea Jane, the female Aussie rapper that Rah Digga mentioned in the interview. Compare her shit to Iggy Azalea shit and come back and tell me Iggy Azalea's shit is not on some straight manufactured wanna be wigger shit. True, it may be "Hip Hop" but it's not true organic Hip Hop because she's not spitting her own lyrics or using her own natural vocal style like Chelsea Jane does.

Lol. Im getting off the floor. I havent heard for a minute. Lol

    Ok. Lol.

I will say when i heard her....i thought sista too.

I dont go into she talks black because we get butt hurt when people say to a black ypu talk white.

But like i said from the beginning and you are saying ....it doesnt matter if its corny ...its hip hop.

She could have said "her music is trash...then i would have said ...ok i can dig that."

I smell a little hate on iggy to me. Too much double standards. When dude called her out on the writing part she then want to say but....blah blah

To me shes on that haterade.

I agree om the corporate issue but most of the responsibility lies with us. Again like u said we buy whatever sometimes.

Ya'll realize ya'll are the ones who keep interjecting RACE into the equation right? Because "Yes" people do say the exact same shit about Nicki Minaj and others. Goodlove keeps bring up Rick Ross's fake ass for criticism, like no one has ever said shit about his greasy black ass. Yeah. It's cause she's a white girl. SMH.

If she's on haterade, then why shout out some other lesser known & more talented white female rapper? Why not just hate straight across the board?

    Lol...damn...greasy..shit

    goodlove New Member

Like white folks have their pet negroe like allen keyes...she could be her token.

If you go back....she interjected race. Remember she said they (who is they?) Will benefit and we our culture *(code words for black) will lose

If you look...who are the ones in that vid doing the greasy talk. The women.

Ra made a couple of decent pounts bur her shit didnt fly with me.
