    Exactly!!!
I think a lot of parents over estimate their influence. Raise your kids in a decent area be there for them as much as you can and don't be abusive. That's all you need to do the rest is a crap shot.

I'm not ok with that at all. Black life is really important to me but what you're talking about is a impoverished behavior. You see this shit through out the world where income inequality creates the notion that human life is incredibly cheap and worth less than material goods but I don't see how protests to stop killing will actually stop it until you address the mechanisms that are causing the poverty. Telling cops to stop over reacting and killing every brown face they see is a lot easier than telling people to pull themselves up and stop selling drugs to survive. It's a totally different set of problems fam. The better approach would be to educate and employ as many of them as you can rather than holding protests and marches to stop a problem that will require far more time and effort. Feel me?

It is real sad that the majority of the community sat on their butts and let a minority of Whites voted their kind in office who let a few Blacks in their PoPo's.

So we're back to voting based off skin color now?

    Sounds legit

How about getting more informed black voters to vote in qualified people, period

Agreed but how do you get them to care. I think most Americans have given up on the idea of voting.

It's just bananas that the community of ferguson was disappointed in their leadership and didn't even get off their asses to vote for someone they liked when it was that time

Remember the saying about no complaining if you don't vote?

Sometimes you just gotta do something period, even if it doesn't work out the way you want

At least you are able to say you tried, instead of saying that you did nothing

I give them dap for not having any homicides on the year prior to the shooting tho

That's one of the heavily black areas that you don't see praised for not giving in to homicides

If a Brother or Sister don't vote the results would not be in their favor. Ferguson is one example.

I'm still shocked that the police force was virtually all white in a predominately black town

Black cops can be just as crooked and dirty, but still I think it would put the community more at ease racially, seeing more people that resembled them

Then again black officers racially profile other blacks, so u just can't win

There are not too many of them in Ferguson so there are racist cops there.

Yep. His own account of what happened can be used against him, if the grand jury is cognizant enough to realize. I would say that his story of events actually strengthens the testimony of what one of the witnesses said.

Now to combine both accounts together we can say this:

Wilson tried to grab Brown by his arms, and Brown tried to tussle away from the officer. Wilson fired at Brown several times, claiming self-defense and fear for his life, which is why Brown's blood and residue would be on Wilson and the SUV. Brown ran away, made it 110 feet in the other direction and Wilson continued to scream at Brown and shoot him 6 or 7 times.

In other news, cop shoots a small dog; cop claims self-defense.

What I don't understand is that if darren wilson committed no crime at the time, why would he remain silent for so long

The trayvon case was slimey from start to finish

It's clear that Zimmerman instigated the incident after police told him to leave it alone

While it's a free country and u just can't whoop someone's ass for following you, that should have been taken into account as far as liability is concerned

He was responsible for everything that happened IMO, yet he gets off with nothing

He keeps making the news too on some rage bullshit...he's obviously a straight nut

    Be real now

Politics don't end in the voting booth. Blacks need to get out of the mindset of 'Our ancestors died so we have the right to vote....' because more often than not, all that's doing is bringing in someone who looks like you but contributes to a system of downpression just as much as the person who does not look like you. We need to eat, sleep, live, breathe, shit and die politics, especially where it affects our community and particularly in regard to fighting for equality and fairness and against social injustices.
