Oh please, looking at those pics the first thing I realized is that the women didn't smile on the "No make up" pics.
Of course make up can do miracles, but a smile makes a big difference as well.

I recall when young George O'Dowd, before he became Boy George of Culture Club, telling of how he was inspired after seeing the concert film Ziggy Stardust with David Bowie. He realized how much of a benefit the use of make up was and still is. Make up transformed him into anyone he wanted to be. Make up was like armor against the world. I mean, if the rock group KISS didn't wear make up back in the day, they would be heard but not recognizable or even memorable. Make up is so utilitarian even on an experimental basis.

In another life I'd totally be a cosmetologist. It's something I dabble in with friends/family (for special events and stuff) but to do it every day?! Yessir I'd love it
