There was a Black woman in D.C. today who got off a bus at the Pentagon and started vomiting uncontrollably in the parking lot. Once they found out she recently traveled to Sierra Leone, they shut down half the Pentagon parking lot.:smt095 The Marines who were on the bus with her were cool about it though. They said they weren't worried about potentially getting ebola from the woman and were more concerned about her health.:wink: People should always be concerned, but never scared IMO. When people start panicking from hysteria, they give their government authority to do things they don't want them to do.

I looked at cnn and they're linking the current outbreak to a child that had contact with a bat They also mention that in some areas bats are a preferred food, and not necessarily the only thing around, which is important to factor in because people need food to live I think what's needed is education As the article mentions, hunters, providers and so forth need to be educated on what's really safe to consume and what needs to be avoided Nature can't really be controlled completely, but you can mitigate the effect it has on you
Just imagine stigmatizing other races for "their" perceived diseases. Whites with bubonic plague, measles, chickenpox, influenza, and on and on... Power relationships in society have everything to do with who is stigmatized and who does the stigmatizing.
